Pros: Good vibe here, super friendly people and a little away from the busy core of Tamarindo which was nice. Close to the small ferry across the mangrove to playa grande.

Nice basic hostel

Pros: Great hostel is you are travelling on a budget. Perfect location in town. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are basic and a bit outdated but this wasn’t an issue. The kitchen is great!!!

Cons: The mattresses are like sleeping in direct contact with metal springs! Fine for us for one or two nights but maybe not the best option for a longer stay.

Pros: The staff were the kindest people we have met in Costa Rica. Gonzalo and Omar, two lovely gentlemen made us feel super welcome.

Cons: Nothing, everything was great and everyone was just lovely

Pros: We stayed here for nearly a month and had an amazing time! Omar, Merrieane and Juvois were so helpful and kind throughout our stay. They made our trip so special! We were surfing everyday and only a 5 min walk to the beach! Perfecto!

Cons: Not a major but walls are thin so some nights can heat the neighbours.

Pros: The manager (Omar) is super nice and helpful:). The hostel has a very positive vibe:), full of young people:). The beach is super close, (lone minute from the hostel). The rooms are very simple, but clean, you have everything you need:)

Pros: The owner of Tsunami Hostel helped us to get a shuttle on the same day. If he did not help us, we were not able to travel that day to our next stop. He is very kind and helpful. We also recived some of the mango’s out of his trees! We enjoyed our stay in Tsunami Hostel.
