Great place to unwind
Pros: Relaxed surf camp, close to the beach. Just 4 cabins/treehouses arranged around the pool. We stayed in one of the treehouses. The sides are louvred which keeps it nice and cool, there was also a ceiling fan, balcony with seats and hammock. Despite being budget accommodation with shared bathrooms, towels were provided. Quiet, chilled vibe, much nicer than Tamarindo(you can get a taxi boat across the estuary there if you want). The bar/restaurant at the front of the property had live music and Great food. They close at 9pm though, so won't keep you awake.
Cons: Mosquito net had a few holes in. There weren't too many bugs around but the net was needed at night. We were careful not to use white light in the room at night so as not to attract the mosquitos.

Perfect for a surf getaway in a peaceful town
Pros: Simple and clean place including dorm we were staying in. Very cosy and intimate setting with other like-minded guests. Hospitable host Dawn and friendly/caring volunteers. Also love the fact that they send announcements on tide timings and events! It shows that they care about you having a good time and best time to surf :) Location wise - easy to rent a board and get out within minutes to shred at a beach that's way more peaceful than the awful tamarindo...
Cons: There are 3 common washrooms shareable amongst guests who don't have ensuite. It would've been nice if there was a stand-alone toilet to use so we don't have to wait long for other guests who are using the washroom for the shower during peak period. Still, no big deal as I didn't face too urgent situations :)

We loved our stay here
Pros: The outdoor space is beautiful and has plenty of shade with hammocks everywhere, the cabanas were comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach, which is just a few steps away, was also beautiful and good for surfing.
Cons: This area doesn't have many options for food and transportation. The restaurant they have out front was very good, but it fills up quickly in the evening so I would recommend reserving a table in advance.

For the ocean lovers
Pros: 1- direct access to the most beautiful beach in the world, 1 minute by foot I’d day it’s pretty unbeatable 2- the staff, from the owner to the workawayers, is what make our stay truly special, connecting with people that share your same vibe. Everyone is super kind, helpful, great conversations. Loved it.
Cons: My room was really close to another property, so it was facing their air conditioning motors and their lights always on during the night. Those plus the motor of the restaurant of the hostel made the nights a bit loud with this motor sound. It’s a pity because the hostel is beautifully located in the jungle and you could be waking up with the sound of birds!

Recommend with the private cabines
Pros: The location is amazing, the staff are great and the layback attitude is really appreciated. The pool is great, the shower outside to rinse yourself are great The kitchen is fully equipped Nice staff Friendly atmosphere
Cons: When booking at the place make sure you book the closed cabines with AC! The open air bungalow do not have any phonic insolation. The bungalow are very cool however in an urban area other buildings AC & restaurants fans, ppl chatting, cooking & back and forth. It gets quite noisy & sleeping in a open air bungalow is tricky. We spend 2 nights: 1 night in the open air bungalow: hard to get sleep at night or during the day 1 night in the cabines with AC: excellent night Suggestion: convert the bungalow into cabines with phonic insulation & AC
