Casa Terra Hostel

Pros: It was the best hostel we went to in costa rica. The vibe was very good. We were supposed to stay 4 night and we decided to stay for 10. Thank you Kevin and Avery for your hospitality. It was a pleasure!

Pros: beautiful spot amids trees, monkeys roaming around in the morning, very quiet.

Cons: the bathrooms could have been more clean at times.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay in casa terra, I was there with a friend of mine for 8 nights and we honestly had so mouch fun. There’s very mouch stuff to do around Samara, so many nice people to meet and the hostel is located a bit out of the center which is pretty neat because you get to have a nice chill spot whenever you feel like you could need a rest:) The vibe of the hostel is pretty cool because it feels almost like home. You have a cozy chill out area on the terasse with nature surrounding you. The personal was very nice and friendly too, I think most of them are actually volunteers. And there was that one guy Kevin who showed us so mouch around the City it was very fun going out with him and also just to chill at the hostel:) He’s super friendly and helpful and it’s crazy how many people he knows in Sámara😂 So if you’re looking for a nice cozy hostel which is in the perfect distance to the town centre Cassa terra should be the choice

Cons: The beds were a bit uncomfortable as the rooms are a bit small but I just slept outside in the chill area a couple of times which was very nice:)

One of my highlights in Costa Rica. I loved the time spent at samara and with the volunteers and other visitors there. V

Pros: I loved the cute house, the friendliness of the staff and the location!

Cons: Everything was nice. Tiny comment on the rooms being quite small if you need to stay more than a few days (the fact that there are two bathrooms kind of compensate this point though).

Sad to leave. Happy to have the experience.

Pros: The location was perfect. The staff were INCREDIBLE!! Kevin, Andre and Alejandro were incredibly hospitable, they felt like true homies! The nature was unreal, the garden was very precious.

Cons: Only thing that could have been a small improvement is a small light/lamp with each bed.

Pros: Amazing staff, volunteers and vibes. I was only planning to stay 2-3 nights here but I extended and stayed for 7 days in total. Loved the hostel and Sámara!

Pros: The atmosphere of the hostel was excellent! The owners and volunteers were very welcoming and warm. The hostel is well located 5 minutes from the beach. I recommend the hotel 100%!

If you’re looking for a peaceful place with a beautiful sense of community, this hostel is the perfect choice – a place you’ll find hard to leave.

Pros: More than just a hostel! I received such a warm welcome and felt at home right away. The place is full of handmade signs, art, and personal touches — cozy, unique, and full of good vibes. The beach and town are within easy walking distance (10-15 min) and there’s a supermarket just around the corner. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful — they really make this place special.

Pros: Location and very cozy place. Clean, good quality-price for short periods.

Cons: The volunteers need more training with the daily basis and payments.
