The perfect getaway

Pros: The perfect birthday getaway. I was looking for a special accommodation for my birth on our trip through Costa Rica. When I found the Vayu Retreat Villas online, I was stunned by the pictures of the retreat. Usually pictures of hotels do not show the reality, just the best spots. But here it’s different. When we arrived we were flashed by this amazing place. Even if the entrance area is not quite finished yet, it does not interfere with your stay in any way. The amazing pool area, the beautiful restaurant (with delicious food) and the overwhelming rooms are perfect. Everything is matching the style of the hotel. From the first minute the owners of the hotel gave us a very friendly welcome and took care of our well-being at all times. As the hotel has not many rooms you can really enjoy the peace and privacy. We loved every minute of our stay and would highly recommend the hotel for everyone who wants to relax and enjoy the Pura Vida.

Hidden gem.

Pros: This is a little hidden gem. Perfect for the ones who like it quiet , peaceful but modern. Mark the owner is not only interesting but extremely helpful and made our stay special.

Pros: We stayed 3 nights and everything was absolutely excellent! The managers Marc and Rafael in particular are incredibly friendly and kind-hearted. We felt super comfortable at all times and more like we were visiting friends - thank you so much for that! Our room/apartment was fantastically beautiful and the breakfast and optional dinner in our own restaurant were also lovingly prepared and super tasty! We are simply thrilled by all the warmth and attention to detail!

High standard yet relaxing, chilled, calm and very much home from home.

Pros: EVERYTHING! The service, the folk there, the location, the ambience, the food, the room, the decor, the lighting …

Cons: Honestly? We can’t think of anything.

A very nice small hotel nested in the jungle

Pros: - The hotel location is very nice. - The hotel is very beautiful. - The pool enables both relaxing and swimming. - The rooms are very pretty and well equipped in a modern way. '- The vegeterian dinner at the hotel is really very good. - The support of the managers, ,Marc and Rafael, is fantastic. We can communicate any time with them by Whatsapp. They always answer quickly. They booked for us a whale tour and recommended very good restaurants (we dinned at Mestizo tradition & fusion, in Uvita, which is excellent).

Cons: - We did not like the music all over the hotel all the day along, which prevented us from being immerged into the sounds of the jungle. But we can understand that some other guests appreciate this music. - The narrow time slot of breakfeast (8 to 9) The main excursion of the location is the whale tour starting at 8;30 am in.Balleina Bahia (driving time to go there: 30 minutes). The managers propose a fruit bowl and à small yoghurt in the room, but it's not the same than a real breakfast. The restaurant is only vegetarian.. It would be much better to keep the vegetarian menu but to in clude in addition non vegetarian meals.

It doesn't get any better

Cons: - nothing

Pros: Top top top hotel. Marc is a fantastic host. His place is amazing. The pool is something. So confortable, peaceful and relaxing in the middle of the jungle. We had the chance to see a monkey familly. We highly recommand Marc place. Thanks a lot.

Best boutique hotel experience ever!!!!!!!! The dream !

Pros: Dear Marc & Rafael, We would like to thank you so much for our stay: it was literally one of the BEST (if not the best) boutique hotel experience we ever had. You are so detail-oriented, friendly and hard working! And the food is very next level, fresh and aligned with our values! You must be very proud of yourselves to have created such a peaceful place and good vibes! I recommend Vayu and NuRaw restaurant to anyone 😍😍
