The best stay in the best area of Costa Rica

Pros: Most beautiful setting in Costa Rica. Hosts are very knowledgeable about the area. Abundant bird and wildlife right on the property. Best hosts you can find.

Cons: Absolutely nothing. Property and management are perfect.

Amazing view and great nature feeling.

Pros: Beautiful view into the nature, amazing river, birds. It feels like you really are in nature but you are still very close to the town. Cris and Kristen are very kind, have a very big knowledge about the nature and the area and give great advice about things to do and what placed are worth a visit.

Peaceful stay in the heart of the jungle

Pros: Peaceful riverside location surrounded by wildlife. Comfortable lodge and friendly hosts who gave helfpul recommendations and organised our tours for us, and even kept a suitcase when we went for a few days to Drakes Bay. Nice to meet other guests over breakfast - a really chiiled vibe and a hidden gem.

Cons: The road to the property is unmade and bumpy in places which put us off eating out at night. A little more breakfast variety would have been apprciated.

A must stay in Costa Rica

Pros: Fantastic bungalow in the middle of a paradisiac garden, longlife memories, animals everywhere

Cons: Not an issue for us - but access road needs a 4*4

The perfect base for planning trips

Pros: Super location. The ideal base for planning trips. Chris and Kirsten are a great help as they have checked ALL the various trips you can make in the area and 'curated' the best ones, which made our planning so much easier. Also, the location by the river is fantastic for a relaxing rest when you get back plus the chance to see lots of amazing animals and birds. Breakfast was great too. Overall, thoroughly recommended! We would definitely go back.

Cons: Nothing. It was all great, including the well stocked kitchen with all the right gear to cook.

Jungle paradise

Pros: The location of this paradise could not be any better. It's a private little jungle just at the river with the view on actual jungle. It's absolutely stunningly arranged with plants, little altanas, nukes and a luxurious feel swimming pool. The owners are a couple of incredibly nice, accommodating and fascinating people. The little charming huts have everything you'll need for your stay to be comfortable. If you are looking for a jungle experience but don't like to compromise on the comfort, this place offers both and more, with such a class and amazing atmosphere. You'll never want to leave.

Lovely property and super helpful and knowledgeable staff.

Pros: The staff are so lovely and answer any questions promptly! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained with lots of animals around! We seen hummingbirds and toucans and heard howler monkeys. The room was lovely and a great way to end our 2 weeks in Costa Rica.

Cons: Could not get the temperature of the shower to be warm. Only hot or cold. If someone is in the room above can hear all their movements.

Excellent stay at the property, would recommend a visit.

Pros: Location was fantastic, perfect distance from Uvita. you felt you were in the rain forest with great views. The owners were very helpful with tips and ideas for things to do in the area.

Cons: The only thing I can think of is you probably require a four wheel drive car to safely get to the property.

A wonderful place in the middle of nature.

Pros: Spectacular location near a river. Excellent view and experience from the Sloth tree house.

Cons: The access is ok, but not recommended for first time drivers.

We ll come back

Pros: We arrived a bit late and Chris waited for us to give us the key and show us around. What a marvel then to wake up in the morning and take an early dive in the river just in front of the room. Kristen and Chris and really delightful hosts being in the mean time super discreet and always there as soon as you ll need a tip, a recommendation for a tour or an activity or anything you need to know. It was an incredible stay in a very special place very close from the town but still nested in the close by quiet hills.. we will definitely come back to enjoy all the great amenities, the pool and the superb private bungalows
