Los Vivos Beachfront Experience

Lovely stay - great for nature lovers

Pros: Lovely location Excellent food and friendly kind staff. Simple but lovely room Great choice of activities Good for those after a low maintenance chill nature loving vibe Free kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel, volleyballs

Cons: Not able to shower during mid morning to early evening as shower open to elements was full of wasps. Some day trippers to beach played awful and loud music from their boats

Fabulous Puravida vibe on the beach

Pros: What a fabulous place to stay! I was very well looked after by the entire staffing team. Wonderful food and drink. Beautiful chilled beach vibe. Got busy in the day with boats coming in, but I loved my sunrise beach walks where it was just me and the giant Iguana & birds on the beach! My room was amazing, an open air shower, views to the beach and a gorgeous big balcony and very big comfy bed. I loved the boat taxi experience too!

Cons: Wifi is poor but you get a better connection by not being glued to a screen. Was tricky as I needed to check-in with work emails etc.

Pros: We just loved it! The stuff, the food, the beach...

Cons: Sure there are people coming to the beach with boats but as all beaches in costa rica are public by law it is as it is...

Great place if you want something special

Pros: Wonderful experience! We totally loved this beautiful place. It’s a special romantic experience. Very friendly staff, amazing views, tasty food and we were able to see the bioluminescence at night.

Pros: Beautiful beach, nice cabins, nice food and a Kids corner with toys

Amazing and want to come back

Pros: The photos don’t do this place justice. I was expecting something slightly rough and ready but it’s so lovely. The beach is beautiful and the staff are so friendly.

Cons: Not their fault but lots of locals come to the beach. I guess it’s why the hotel isn’t £500 a night as doesn’t own the beach.

Hidden gem

Pros: This place is absolutely stunning! From staff to food to location to beach...beautiful. Kayaks and SUP are available to use plus welcome Margaritas on arrival. The friendliness as well as helpfulness of the staff is mostly highlighted. Would definitely come back!

A little piece of paradise!

Pros: Rom and the team are fantastic hosts. This really is a little slice of paradise tucked away from everything. From the moment you step onto the boat to take you to Los Vivos, to the moment you leave you can’t help but feel relaxed and part of something special. The beach is beautiful, the accommodation is perfect and the food offering is just amazing, (thank you Gustavo and the team!) We made full use of the free canoes and paddle boards and had a great time exploring the bay. At night the soothing sound of the ocean sent us all of into a deep sleep. This truly is a special place.

A truly wonderful place, beautifully located, with a stunning beach and very friendly staff.

Pros: We especially loved the unique location of Los Vivos. The beach is absolutely beautiful, and the restaurant was great as well. The staff was extremely friendly and made a real effort to make us feel welcome. We felt very comfortable from the very beginning and can highly recommend this place.

Cons: There are two types of accommodation at Los Vivos: the tented bungalows and the rooms. We stayed in a four-bed room. My husband and I actually preferred the bungalows, but our kids wanted to sleep in the room. The room was okay – very sparsely furnished, perhaps a bit lacking in charm. However, it did have air conditioning, which the bungalows don’t, and we really appreciated that.

Great location to just drop out for a bit!

Pros: Amazing location, friendly and supportive staff, great facilities.

Cons: The water cooler had ants in it. However they did give filtered water in bottles upon request as well. Although I would have liked the ant water to be exchanged rather than filled up. Having said all of that, this is the only legitimate complaint I can make, really great hotel!
