Pros: The resort was created by the owner travis.it is located 100m from the ferry The whole place is unique..themed as cross between a pirate lair and the flintstones He also took us our on an amazing boat trip

Cons: Quite isolated. You really need a car..no uber service

Brilliant stay

Pros: We loved everything about this stay, the location is exquisite, the arty decoration it quirky and fun, the pool, the food.. honestly all 10 out of 10. The pirate theme is fun. We all wished we'd stayed longer.

Cons: The photos on booking don't do this place justice. I wasn't expecting it to be the good

Very interesting and enjoyable stay.

Pros: Breakfast was very good. Easy location to get to. Hotel was very interesting with the pirate theme. Room was very private with a nice view of the water through some trees.

Cons: Beach wasn't great.

Pros: You get really into the pirate vibe in this amazing place. It’s a work of art! You can’t stop looking around to spot nice decorations. The food was fresh and delicious and full of taste!

This place must be visited! Beautiful surroundings and lots of activities.

Pros: YES, you must go there. Great place with lots of activities. Travis took us out in the nice old life boat 'Nicoya Queen'. Went to the prisoner island and Travis made the best lobster we've ever had. Thanks :) The breakfast is excellent. Nice traditional Tico breakfast or best: Travis' special egg benedict! Not to forget: You can also borrow canoes and go on a trip yourself. Thanks to Travis and his staff at La Perla Nigro :) Annett & Søren, Denmark

Would recommend! Travis is simply the best host!

Pros: Travis is amazing! What an outstanding host! We spent the day on the boat with him - visited the prison and ate at a floating restaurant! Unbelievable experience! Very nice set up - pirates it is! Spacious room Right next to the ferry

Pros: The food and access to beach, but above all he boat tours offered to the floating restaurant. Such amazing food.

Cons: Everything was perfect and even live music. I cannot wait to go back.

very nice place

Pros: very nice location and property Travis and the staff were super nice and Travis offered that we could use the SUPs, kayaks and dropped us off at the ferry when we left when we asked they gave us extra cooking utensils

Cons: breakfast was not the best and could be more there was no Wi-Fi at the room and also not very good mobile service

Pros: This place is amazing every detail is decorated with creativity. Private pools are awesome, food is exquisite and so much to do around the property incl. Island cruise with Travis, and bioluminate at night, right besise ferry easy to find and close to ammenities.. 5 star private beds and pillows super comfortable and clean. Food is great at restruaunt and kitchen in rooms are super convienant.

Un paradis pour les enfants!

Pros: Pour les enfants c’est vraiment une perle. Très bon mobilier! La chambre est immense! La cuisine est bien équipée: frigo, casserole, poêle, verres…tout marche très bien! Il y a même la micro-ondes. Très bon billliard et le lego pour les enfant. Le paradis! Le petit déjeuner est aussi très bon.

Cons: La piscine est assez petite mais très bien pour une famille
