Lovely spot to stay if visiting Samara

Pros: Lovely spacious rooms and a great location only 100m from the stunning beach. The pool was great for cooling off in after a day exploring Samara and the room was very comfortable.

Loved the property, room and absolutely lovely, caring and friendly staff and very tasty breakfasts!

Pros: Loved the property, the staff, the room, the furniture, the closets and storage. Impeccably clean room, good AC and a great shower too! Breakfast was fantastic, all staff are ABSOLUTELY LOVELY! and overall experience was great. Liked the chickens, roosters and wildlife around the grounds and the pool was nice for a quick dip. Close to a fab, peaceful beach - just perfect for a few nights stay!

Cons: The bed was a little firm and the pillows were too stuffed n firm for my liking so that made a great sleep a little tricky. ..and the incredibly RUDE people above smoking (not allowed) in their room / balcony in the morning and night. Staff went to ask them not to, and they continued to do it!

Pros: The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. It was only a 5 minute drive to Playa Carrillo.

Pros: Easily one of the best places I stayed in Costa Rica. Excellent value for money. The only thing keeping me from giving a 10 is that it's a bit far from Samara center and it was hard for me to get by without a car. If you're traveling with a car, it's a no-brainer. - Lovely stuff - Nice big rooms, in very good condition. - AC and ceiling fan. - Cleanliness. - Extra towels for the beach or pool. - Close to the beach. - Tasty dinner (extra cost).

Cons: - The city center is not in a walkable distance. Either go by car or pay $10 for a taxi. - Roosters noise.

Good value for price

Pros: Hotel Sol Samara is just located outside of the city centre, so a car is ideal. It’s surrounded by an amazing nature, a garden with chickens and kittens. The beach is just down the road, a 2min walk and you are with a 5min drive in the city centre surrounded with all restaurants you need

Cons: In the low season (we’re there early June), the beach is not great to lay down

Pros: The location is in walking distance to the sámara beach at the far end of the beach which was nice because we basically had the beach to ourselves. Breakfast was very good! Staff also friendly.

Pros: The room/bathroom is a bit outdated, but very clean and has everything you need. Very close to the sea, and a nice 15-20 minute walk to Samara (along the beach). I personally liked that the hotel wasn’t in the center, especially if you have a car the distance to Samara is no problem. There is a possibility to have dinner at the hotel (not every day).
