Santa Teresa Surf Vista Villas

A lovely place with a stunning view

Pros: The view is absolutely stunning and worth the steep walk/drive up the hill. The room is surrounded by a very spacious terrace with an outdoor kitchen, nice seating areas, a hammock and a swing. The room itself is also spacious with three comfortable queen size beds. Nice clean bathroom. We loved our stay at Surf Vista Villas and can highly recommend it.

Cons: No breakfast is served, but there is a kitchen where you can prepare your own. Be prepared for a very steep walk down/up the hill which is quite tough but good to get the exercise and jumping into the pool after the walk up is very nice.

Pros: Our room was huge (three queen beds) and had stunning views over the ocean. We had our own very big private kitchen area on the deck. Great pool, cold aircon. Bit of a drive up from the main strip but easily handled with a 4x4.

Cons: Staff came to clean in front of the room fairly early each morning, which was a bit intrusive if the curtains were open.

Beautiful villas set in a stunning location

Pros: The perfect base for your stay in Santa Teresa - the facilities are clean and well maintained, the view down over the Pacific Ocean is fantastic. Communication with the hosts was easy and quick. We really enjoyed our stay!

Cons: If you don’t have a car, you have to be prepared to hike for about 15 min up a never ending, vertical hill. We love to hike so this wasn’t the be all or end all for us but we’d not quite appreciated the location when booking - expect to be sweaty every time you get home, day or night. Not the property’s fault though and allows for the most incredible views so well worth it!!

Amazing views, great room - one of the best places we stayed!

Pros: What a room and what a view!!! No words to describe. One of the best and very unique places we stayed during our trip to Costa Rica. Very spacious room, ocean view, the balcony, the pool... and a kind host!

Cons: The price for having the view is having to use a pretty narrow, steep and partially bumpy road up the hill after turning off the main road. Good to have a bit of clearance (SUV).

Nice accommodation in Santa Teresa, amazing views though access to the property is challenging

Cons: Access to the property was rather challenging, you have to climb a very steep, narrow and unpaved road Wifi quality was very poor in the room

It was a wonderful place to stay, very quiet with spectacular views and close to the wildlife.

Pros: Spectacular views down to the ocean. Listening to the howler monkeys in nearby trees. Well equipped villa with lots of space. Great swimming pool.

Cons: You really need a 4 wheel drive to access the property. It’s 500m from the main road and up extremely steep gradient. I did not have a vehicle so only managed to walk down from the villa which took 20 mins and nearly fell over twice as some of the road surface was very rough. Had to get taxis up to the villa which cosy 10,000 Costa Rica colones each time.

Pros: Super exclusive view about the jungle and to the beach; outdoor kitchen with large terrace; 500 meters steep path from the main road to the accomodation; all wheel drive car highly recommended in

Pros: Lovely large balcony with fabulous views and seating areas. The room was huge with 3 double beds We enjoyed the pool in some very hot weather (March). I was able to get our washing done which was a relief. There are some great places to eat out and the beach is beautiful. Marco was friendly and helpful. We could hear and see the wildlife around the property, fantastic.

Cons: Luckily we had a 4 wheel drive to get up the very steep hill, we did get used to it after a couple of days.

We had a great room, with great facilities and an amazing view.

Pros: The location and the view to the ocean from the villa.

Cons: Air conditioning stopped working, but Oscar was great at fixing it. He offered an alternative room and the unit was replaced the next day.
