The perfect beach break during our round trip – pure paradise!
Pros: From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The service was warm and attentive, the location just steps from the beach was unbeatable, and the food – simply delicious every single day! Surfing with the kids was such a fun experience – safe, exciting, and unforgettable. And for the little animal lovers: the resort is full of wildlife! We saw monkeys, raccoons, adorable squirrels, and even iguanas. If you’re looking for relaxation, comfort, adventure, and a welcoming atmosphere for the whole family, this is the place to be. We wholeheartedly recommend it and are already looking forward to our next stay. A true hidden gem for anyone in need of a seaside escape with a special touch of nature
Cons: Nothing!

A beautiful hotel with fantastic facilities and friendly staff. Would happily stay again!
Pros: The room was very spacious with a lovely bathroom and comfortable bed. The pool and beach facilities were excellent, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was very good as were the cocktails.
Cons: For the price of the lunch/dinner items, the food was only just satisfactory. We chose to eat up town after our first day.

Perfect place. Would highly recommend.
Pros: The location, atmosphere and staff were perfect. The general relaxed friendly vibe was consistent from the moment we entered the hotel to the minute we left. You feel like the employees are well trained, well treated and well selected. They have genui9ne pride and love for their jobs.
Cons: More variety at breakfast would be appreciated for longer stays. Also there was nowhere to sit and enjoy a drink or a coffee with friends after 10pm.

We would absolutely stay here again when in Tamarindo.
Pros: I recently stayed at the Capitán Suizo Beachfront Boutique Hotel in Tamarindo. The hotel staff were outstanding throughout my stay, from the front desk to the restaurant and other areas of the property. The on-site restaurant served delicious food, and there were always chairs available by the pool and the beach. The hotel is located on the quieter end of Tamarindo beach, which was a nice change of pace.
Cons: The Capitán Suizo Beachfront Boutique Hotel was a nice place, but it had a couple issues that made it slightly less than perfect. The pool was always full of pollen and leaves(it is surrounded by beautiful trees and they did clean it regularly but it seemed they never could catch up. Also, there were too many kids running around and screaming,.

Great hospitality, in great grounds but overly expensive.
Pros: Great rooms! Very clean, comfortable and spacious. The location in relation to Tamarindo town was great too - quiet and out of the way, whilst still being close to the amenities of the town. The grounds were also absolutely beautiful and clearly really well maintained. The service was as also wonderful - with all the staff being extremely friendly and hospitable.
Cons: Parts of the hotel were quite tired. The furniture in the communal areas was worn and could have done with being updated. Usually such details wouldn’t be the end of the world, but when you’re paying very expensive rates for a room you do expect a certain level of luxury. The food at the restaurant at dinner was average at best and therefore we felt it was overpriced. We also struggled to get help from the front desk with the coffee machine when we couldn’t get it to work, which again was a little frustrating given the price paid for the room.
