Hotel Sunset Rooms

Good stay, very comfortable

Pros: Location on the riverfront and we had a room looking out to the water. Seating outside. Large room and great fridge. Set just outside main busyness so more peaceful. Good communication from Juliana.

Cons: Not to say we didn’t like anything but there was a feeling that the place had been ‘let go’ a little and was a bit shabby outside. Still a good place to stay, everything worked and was good value for money.

Fantastic

Pros: The staff & service was exceptional, consistent with the Pura Vida vibe of the entire island. The hotel is at the very end of the main (only?) street in Tortuguero, so it was quiet & peaceful! The smallish patio overlooks canal & I could have just stayed in the rocking chairs, gazing at nature all day Will stay again.

Cons: It would have been nice to have morning coffee service, but there are plenty of small vendors just steps away on main street.

Pros: Clean and basic nothing fancy. Very good for doing a lot of activities around. Nice helpfull people

Pros: The room is easy, but there is fridge. It was very usefull in this hot weather. Guids was very kindly.

It is a very good facility with an adorable owner. It is definitely value for money. The view is amazing.

Pros: The practical location. We were near everything (beach, river, shops and restaurants). The owner is adorable.

Just what we needed, cheap and cheerful, friendly staff and great location for Tortuguero and its activities!

Pros: Staff very accommodating to our needs, quick replies via message and giving info detail. All lovely! Room, pink colour, spacious but minimal, 2 double beds that were comfy enough. Great sunset view of river! And outside sitting location to hang up washing. 2 mins from beach too!

Cons: Ventilation in the room was poor, but we had a good air conditioning to help with that. Noise at night can be vibrant from the town. Windows are thin so heat/cold easily escapes. If air con is off, room heats up quick with outside air temperature.

Hot water and air conditioning in a lovely location.

Pros: Hot water in the shower and air conditioning in the room is a wonderful thing, and difficult to find at this price in Tortuguero! The location is also great, 5 minute walk from anywhere in town, but far enough away from the center that it is very quiet and peaceful.

Cons: For the money, this place is great value with lovely staff. Nothing we didn't like :)

Pros: We had an enyoable time at the hotel. The air conditioning was cold and the showers hot. But the best part was the friendliness of the women who worked there. Super helpful with shuttles, easy to communicate with and overall very friendly. Highly recommended!

Decent place for a quick stay

Pros: Great location, nice and quiet, lovely view over the rivers.

Cons: Shower was cold.
