Tucan Hotel

I had a great stay at Tucan hotel. Beautiful vibe, excellent location and well equipped with everything I needed..

Lovely stay with very helpful staff

Pros: We had a great stay at the Tucan hotel. Pierre and Sebastian were incredibly helpful and booked our trips for us. We were also upgraded free of charge. Good value for money would recommend.

A lovely boutique feeling hotel at a reasonable price

Pros: Pool - kept beautifully clean and refreshing Staff - Pierre, Sebastian and Stephen were fabulous and when we had trouble with a boat taxi, they went above and beyond to help us find a solution. Breakfast - fresh and varied. Outside seating area was really well designed, lots of comfortable chairs and hammocks arranged really well, games and books to use also. Located close to main high street. Lovely showers and comfortable bed. Really creatively decorated. Can tell that someone has really gone to a lot of effort to make the place look attractive and there is lady that cleans and gardens every day so it all looks lovely.

Cons: Nothing not to like, had a lovely stay here

Pros: Oh wow. This scores a 10 on our trip around Costa Rica. The place is perfect but the people are even better! Steven and Pierre are wonderful hosts who can guide you on just about everything. We feel cared for - which I have never written in a review before but that's how it feels at Tucan! We checked in for 2 nights initially but ended up staying for 3. A wonderful stay and I do not wish to leave. The pool is beautiful, the bed is dreamy, the breakfast is delicious and sustaining and the bikes we hired were fab. Thank you Tucan :)

Paraíso en Uvita

Pros: Very good amenities, we have a welcome tour on the check in so we were explained everything, it’s better than in the pictures the hang out area is great, lots of books and games, breakfast is buffet plus gallo pinto as much as you want and everything is delicious, the pool and the swimming pool are great! Rooms are comfortable and shower has good pressure and hot water ! Close to the bank, bus stop and bus station as well as lots of bars, supermarket, walking distance to the Uvita waterfall, we also manage to do Nauyaca which we thought we will not be able to as it was out of our budget but they offer a cheap service of shuttle there with pick up included after and the entrance to the park itself is not expensive so we ended up going and was a great experience. They allow us to leave our bags there and then use the communal shower when we came back before getting our bus to Manuel Antonio, will always recommend ! I wish we stayed longer !!!!

Pros: Such an amazing vibe. Wonderful communal space and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Really well located and the trips organised through the hotel were fabulous too.

Pros: PIERRE ROCKS!!!! By far the friendliest most helpful most knowledgeable host we have had our whole trip

Quirky bit of paradise

Pros: Apart from the beautiful setting and location near the restaurants and beaches your host Pierre definitely goes way beyond expectations to be helpful and informative and he also makes a fabulous Mojito.

Cons: The bed had a dip in the mattress

Amazing stay

Pros: Very friendly staff, amazing breakfast, very spacious common space, dorms very private with beds in big cubicles

Cons: The bathrooms need more shelves, but other than that everything was perfect

Cons: Could have done with a hairdryer and a TV for the price Also room was on the small side
