"Hana's Celeste Retreat" Large Modern Villa Sleeps 6 on 20 Acres of Nature!

We had a fantastic stay

Pros: Very spacious, comfortable, good AC, good cooking facilities, brilliants walks through rainforest on your doorstep. Easy to get to shops and restaurants in town. We were given a short free guide to see sloths etc. on the property

Cons: Laundry facilities were handy but washing machine a bit tricky to use if not used to it - some instructions would help

Great stay in wonderful surroundings

Pros: Beautiful setting with several nature trails next to us. Many birds and animals seen - sloth, howler monkeys, lizards. The host were very friendly and helpful, and Jonathan took us round the property and showed us the sloth, which we would never have found without him. Bijagua is a charming small town with lots of eating places and there is a wide range of activities to do in the area. This was our favourite part of Costa Rica that we visited in our 3 week holiday.

Pros: Beautiful surroundings, well stocked, and ample room for two families with kids. We had an amazing time. Kamal and Bertha are wonderful hosts. Be sure to walk on the trails at the property. Location is perfect to explore the area, highly recommended.

A quiet haven of paradise away from the tourist crowds

Pros: Beautiful self-contained apartment in the grounds of the owners house. From the back-ground you can walk into nature in this beautiful, less touristy part of Costa Rica. Well appointed, clean property with comfortable beds and plenty of space.

Cons: No air-conditioning but fans provided. These were effective but fairly noisy so best not to be used at night!

Delightful stay

Pros: Lovely house in garden setting. Hosts gave excellent information before we arrived. Nature trail was a beautiful surprise.

Cons: We had to leave.

Pros: The house and property are beautiful. We enjoyed the hammock, a walk on the trails, and the troop of howlers that came through each day.

Paradise!

Pros: This was my favourite accommodation in Costa Rica - a little piece of paradise. It was set on the owner's beautifully landscaped property, but was very private. Very high quality accommodation, even better than the pictures. We also enjoyed watching the howler monkeys in the trees above our cottage. Great location for visiting Rio Celeste and other attractions (we also enjoyed the Tree Chocolate Tour very much). The owners helpfully sent us detailed advice of things to do in the area well ahead of time so we could plan our time properly. We only stayed 2 nights but would have happily stayed much longer. Very friendly owners too.

Cons: everything was perfect!

Host Kam is great.. friendly, quick to respond, and very accommodating and a good value. We would return.

Pros: Beautiful location, quiet, safe, screens on windows, well equipped kitchen, great for 2 couples or more, nice walking paths, close to town. Great hike with hanging bridges nearby and a good price.

Cons: Living room furniture wasn’t so comfortable… patio benches are hard but the glider is great! A couple of the twin beds are a bit hard.

Spacious villa with beautiful gardens and trails, but also close to conveniences

Pros: Villa was spacious and clean with beautiful gardens and forest trails surrounding it. Owners did a great job communicating. Really enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the views. Saw toucans and howler monkeys while staying there. Appreciated being able to use the washer and dryer, although the washing machine is way different than what we have in the U.S. recommend looking at some of the videos out there for \

Cons: It didn't bother us because no one stayed there while we were there, but I didn't realize before arriving that there is another rental unit that shares the same roof with this villa (a breezeway separates). If both are occupied at the same time the stay might not feel quite as relaxing and private.

Perfect Costa Rican getaway

Pros: This was a wonderful retreat for our family. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoyed being able to cook our own food. The wildlife we saw on the property was the highlight of our trip. The hosts were very helpful and quick to respond to whatever we needed.
