San Gabriel Apartments

Pros: The pool area was like a little oasis with birds and lovely fauna. Pool was cool, host attentive.

Cons: Tiny bathroom with no place to put stuff.

Amazing gardens and well equipped house, the kids loved the pool.

Pros: Great quiet location, very clean, we were given a key code but the owners also met us on arrival to show us around our beautiful accommodation, the pool (how to work the pool lights and waterfalls) and extra outdoor shower.

Cons: ...we forgot that the payment is in cash, but there is an ATM less than 5 mins drive.

Clean comfortable apartment with friendly host and beautiful garden

Pros: Beautiful pool and gardens. Warm and friendly personal welcome. We stayed in the upstairs apartment and felt we were in an oasis far away from the lively and busy La Fortuna (10 minutes drive away) but close to shops and restaurants of the local community. Grocery store just a couple of minutes walk away. Recommend restaurant Victorinos for great food and service. It’s a twenty minute walk or few minutes drive. Also recommend the nearby Sloth Territory for a great guided tour to see beautiful sloths in their natural habitat. Gabriel requires payment on arrival in cash.

Great apartment with beautiful garden and pool

Pros: Fantastic apartment in a local neighbourhood, close enough yet away from the hustle and bustle of town. You need a car, but all sights and activities the area has to offer are a short to medium length drive away. Loved the beautiful garden and pool, very much appreciated the completely stocked kitchen and laundry machine. All one needs!

Just great!

Pros: Just great! This home is beautiful inside and out. The owners are very helpful with everything! We enjoyed our stay here. It's also close to the Don Olivo Chocolate Farm, Sloth and Monkey Tour and Victorino's Restaurant.

Little piece of Paradise

Pros: This place was absolutely beautiful. The outdoor pool and grounds we had all to ourselves. The apartment was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Loved the pillows. Wish I could of taken it home. Host was so sweet, would do anything for you. Would definitely recommend and would return.

Cons: My only thing is that we had to leave. I would of spent my whole vacation here.

Beautiful pool and garden area. Attentive host.

Pros: Lovely oasis of green surrounding the pool with is shared by two apartments. Beds very comfortable and ac works well. The eggs and juice were well received and the host very attentive. We had a fantastic meal at Victorinos (5 mins drive) and La Fortuna is 15 mins drive away.

Cons: A car is definitely required to stay here which we had.

Pros: Gabriel and his family were incredibly lovely and the place is quiet and in a regular Costa Rican neighborhood. We loved it.

Pros: Beautiful apartment, clean and spacious. Very friendly host. Great communication. Garden just amazing!

Quiet, clean, comfortable stay with beautiful garden & secure parking.

Pros: The hosts were friendly, prompt communicators, giving us a tour and offering tips for restaurants, activities. They met all our needs. We loved the well appointed quiet beautiful garden and pool! We enjoyed a sloth, coffee, cocoa & sugarcane tour in La Fortuna. Puentes Colgantes in Místico Park (hanging bridges) was excellent (make reservations online or call to ensure parking entry.) San Gabriel apartments was a wonderfully comfortable, clean, and quiet place to stay. We would gladly stay again!

Cons: Usually a pool not heated is just fine in Costa Rica. However when we stayed temperatures were cooler so we did not lounge IN the jacuzzi long!
