Melrost Airport Bed & Breakfast

Convenient for our needs because we arrived very late and it was a great price compared to other hotels in the area.

Pros: Close to the airport and we arrived well past midnight and there was no problem checking in and getting to our room. Breakfast was good sitting on the terrace.

Cons: The airport and traffic noise was noticeable very early in the morning.

Pros: Reception opened 24 hours. Located very close to the airport, so very convenient to start/finish the trip (traffic jam are reals between the airport and San José city center, so this was a real peace of mind to be close to the airport before having my flight). They offer airport shuttle for 3000 colones/6$ per ride. Bedroom simple but with everything we need. And breakfast the same: simple but good and sufficient. Served on the terrace, which was pleasant. TV easy to use (just turn-on and it works). And it's possible to leave your suitcase after check-out if your flight is later (Alajuela city-center quite close, so possible to visit it depending what time is your flight, and come back to take the airport shuttle)

Great b&q near the airport.

Pros: Great b&b in fantastic location near the airport. Staff friendly and helpful. Near shopping centre for food. Breakfast was lovely and the room was clean. Shuttle arrived in 5 mins at the airport.

Cons: Nothing. All great.

Pros: Staff was very friendly, breakfast was good, location to the airport unbeatable

Cons: The AC leaked so we had to turn it off and it was poorly soundproofed so a bit hard to sleep

Perfect stop over after landing, couldnt be happier!

Pros: Super easy place to go to after landing in San Jose in the evening, before heading out the next day! Quick airport transfer by the Melrost team for a reasonable price, and they also brought us to the car rental office the next morning so we could pick our rental! The area is good, and theres lots of sounds of birds! Theres a big shopping mall 400m away which was useful to pick up a few necessities from. The room itself was very spacious and very comfortable and good breakfast! A final note to say thanks to the staff who were all super friendly and helpful!

Pros: Clean, economical and great communication. Our flight landed at midnight and I was concerned about the late check. I communicated with the facility and the security guard was waiting there at 1 am to let us in. Breakfast was brought to our table outside our room on the 2nd floor... Great spot to stay after our flight.

A short stay is all this is for! Value for money

Pros: Free breakfast the next morning after a long trip from Sydney was appreciated. Bed was comfortable!

Cons: Our air conditioner had a loud click and property in general was not the most sound proof. Very minor things we solved with earplugs.

Pros: We arrived late after the airport shuttle had finished for the day but the bnb was a short taxi ride away and easy to get to. We were greeted and quickly shown our room. The room was clean and comfortable. In the morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast on the terrace. All the staff where friendly and helpful and spoke English (my Spanish is minimal so this was a great bonus).

Pros: Big, spacious room, nice shower. Very convenient they have a shuttle service, they picked us up from the airport and the next day dropped us of at our rental car service
