Cabañas del Rio

Pros: Tour in garden for discovering frogs. Great breakfast. Large room. Kitchen. Well located. Quiet.

Cons: Not always easy to shave in the bathroom.

Loved this place! Loved the staff!

Pros: The cabañas were just great. Lots of space, very big beds. Clean. And such a friendly staff! Especially Mairene at the reception, but also the staff at breakfast. The breakfast was also very good! Good parking space next to our cabaña. We also did the night walk with Michelangelo. He took some great pictures of al the small night animals we encountered. By car close to the center of La fortuna where you have lots of shops and restaurants. I definitely recommend this place!

Homely brilliant Accomodation

Pros: Extremely friendly hosts and staff who were full of knowledge and care. Fabulous breakfast and location just out of town. Great kitchen facilities

Cons: More comfortable seating areas both in and around the room and the pool area.

The warmest welcome to Costa Rica

Pros: The staff were all really friendly and happy to share their own personal recommendations for things to do in the area. The rooms were huge, great for us and two kids who are too old to share beds. The location is great. We did the frog tour on site and loved it!

Cons: Nothing. It was a perfect stay, thank you.

Charming family friendly accommodation with great staff

Pros: The staff were thoughtful, flexible and facilitating. The breakfast was wonderful with the birds and creatures. The swimming pool was a great rainy day activity. The night tour was informative and we saw several frogs. The highlight of this property for us, was how friendly and helpful the staff were. Would recommend for families.

Cons: A small improvement could be to upgrade highchairs.from wooden to something slightly more wipe friendly. Otherwise nothing

Pros: Everything here was amazing, the staff, the breakfasts, the location, the night walk tour in the garden, highly recommended. A very enjoyable stay.

Cons: Nothing.

it was nice enough that I came back.

Pros: all 3 beds were wonderful. The appliances in the kitchen were fabulous - I mean who would expect a waffle iron. Everything was very clean and comfortable. I'd stayed there a year ago and it was a pleasant as before.

Cons: nothing really

Home base for 3 days as we explored the area. Clean comfortable and convenient. Will stay again whe

Pros: Rooms were spacious. Breakfast outside made to order with fresh juice and fruit was prepared by a gracious and friendly host.

Cons: Everything was fine.

Home away from home, very friendly hosts and great experience

Pros: Very friendly, family owners made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond for us. Clean and spacious. Free night tour through the garden and we saw many species of frog. We had a wonderful time and felt very at home.

Cons: We were very happy with everything, rooms could be updated a little bit, lights in room are a very bright white. But overall rooms were comfortable, spacious and felt good value.

We loved our stay here, the apartment, atmosphere and Leo and the rest of the staff made sure we get all the comfort we

Pros: The apartment we had was very spacious and with a fully equipped kitchen, which is great if one doesn’t want to eat out all the time. The little garden in the back was a cute piece of nature and we had birds visiting during breakfast, which we enjoyed a lot. The pool was clean and nice.

Cons: It is a little far from the city center, but most activity providers offer a pickup and also Uber can be easily used.
