Good value for money

Pros: Spotlessly clean. Huge room , well more of an apartment with two bedrooms kitchen, lounge area and bathroom. Seemed very new. Amazing space for the price.

Cons: The location was not ideal for us. We were not able to have breakfast because we were leaving at 6.30 for our 7 o’clock guided tour but breakfast service started at 7. I think there should have been a discount for this as it was included in the price.

Excellent place to stay would return

Pros: Clean lovely apartment nice staff and great breakfast

Cons: Nothing really though slightly out of monteverde centre so a car preferable Plenty of parking

Pros: The two-bedroom apartment is spacious and clean, and has a lovely balcony sitting area nearby. The lodge is quite far from town, so we frequently used taxis to get to restaurants. The Wine & Grill, an excellent restaurant, is within easy walking distance. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. They assisted in arranging tours, and went out of their way to pack our breakfasts the last morning when our transfer to La Fortuna arrived early.

We stayed 2 nights and would stay there again.

Pros: The breakfast was excellent and great service. Coffee, juice, fruit bowl and selection of various mains including Ranchero, omelet, Gallo pinto, pancakes and more . Stayed in 2 bedroom apartment with sea view. It was very clean and beds very comfortable. Also it had a full kitchen which we didn't use other than to keep drinks in the frig. Staff were very helpful for information on the area. The property is very secure since it is gated at night

Loved this place

Pros: From the moment we arrived we had a good feeling about Calathea Lodge. Mayco, Glenn , Isaac and all the staff gave us a warm welcome, professional, non biased advice about tours and nothing was too much trouble. Our apartment was comfortable, clean and well equipped.

Cons: It was perfect.

Amazing hotel

Pros: Modern, quiet, clean rooms. We were very pleasantly surprised here. The bed is very comfy, well designed, super quiet. The room also had a dehumidifier - which is super helpful in the rain forest, and a brush to clean your shoes. Very good breakfast. One of our favourite places to stay in Costa Rica.

Cons: Nothing - we loved everything here.
