Pros: Everything except for the cold showers, and the steps. Would still return however. The food was the best while in Costa Rica. The hosts were very helpful.

Great choice for budget stay in Monteverde

Pros: The hotel is clean, walkeble distance from town and monteverde national park. Has a nice view from the terrace and a communial kitchen. Hotel staff is very helpful.

Cons: Bit noisy at night. Bring earplugs.

Pros: Good hotel, neat, spacious rooms with a nice view from the windows (we stayed in rooms with a private toilet). Breakfast is not a buffet, so if you don't eat something (like me), you should let them know in advance (I don't know if they would take this into account, since I missed this opportunity).

Cons: We stayed when it was cool outside (14-15 degrees Celsius), the wind was howling. The room door rattled from the gusts of wind. We put paper in the gap to prevent it from banging, but the hotel could fix them, put rubber gaskets or something. A heater would also have been useful, there was only a fan withiut heating option. The room wasn't cozy because of the cold.

A great hotel in Santa Elena

Pros: Cabinas is located only a short walk from the town of Santa Elena with outdoor areas to sit and admire the view. My room was small but clean with a very comfortable bed and hot water. The breakfast was outstanding, the best I’ve had in a hotel . Ro at the front desk was awesome going out of his way to sort out my travels for me. Thanks Ro. See you in Vancouver

Cons: An earlier breakfast time at 6:30 would be helpful as morning tours of the reserve start at 7:30 so you miss their wonderful breakfast. There was also no shampoo or a hairdryer in the room.

Nice place to stay

Pros: The people in the reception are top 10. They will explain you any details and help you with any issue, especially the blond Italian guy. The breakfast is included and it is delicious.Really recommend this place to stay in monteverde.

Cons: You can listen the wind during the night and sometime it is difficult to sleep. As well the location is close to the center but it has a big rump.

Pros: Location, breakfast, cleanliness. I would stay here again.

Cons: Obviously this is out of anyone’s hands but i woke up numerous times due to the wind, it can be noisy at night and morning. Possibly will depend on the location of your room.

Excellent Place. Ro is the best

Pros: Lovely view (albeit a bit windy when we were there). Nice common areas. Decent free breakfast. Great host (Ro) who helped book everything. Took his time to help in booking. Great restaurant 2 doors down.

Cons: The wind made the doors shake a bit, but i fixed it by jamming some paper in the gap. It’s on top of a hill if that bothers anyone, but we didn’t mind.
