Immersive cloud forest experience with exceptional rooms

Pros: Our bungalow was absolutely beautiful and the view over the forest throughout was exceptional. It had been recently renovated with a beautiful new bathroom with shower and jacuzzi that we loved. The room was well equipped for the three of us and the mini bar had nice reasonably priced offers. The private trail was also a lovely addition to the main trails in the attached reserve. The onsite breakfast was nice and the gallery had some nice things to see and buy.The arranged quetzal tour with Carlos was brilliant.

Cons: The bed was really not comfy (way too soft for me), the restaurant is ok but not particularly special (we ate better for cheaper up the road at Miriam's). It didn't really bother us, but some of the bungalows are quite a walk from reception and can be challenging in the early morning without the lights.

Immersion in Quetzal valley. Wonderful.

Pros: The location, the lodge, the bed, bedding, views, wildlife.

Cons: The shower takes some time for the temperature to change. Patience is required.

UNFORGETTABLE!!! it was a dream location and place to stay for all of us!

Pros: The staff were friendly, always with a smile and very helpful. The food was delicious, the room was spotless. The decoration was so beautiful and the location was perfect to connect with nature.

A great find. Worth more than one nights visit.

Pros: We only booked this property for one night but having stayed there would have definitely liked to have stayed another few nights but our schedule was against us. We were upgraded to a four person bungalow - number 1 which had stunning views and beautifully equipped with large jacuzzi and cable TV The walks through the nature reserve are wonderful but can be a bit steep in place. The restaurant is very good with the best meal we had on our Costa Rica trip.

Cons: Nil. Some of the rooms were being done up and some are a long way from the main lodge through the forest parks and might not be suitable for everyone.

Pros: Incredible bungalow location! facilities are amazing.

Cons: Couldn't see Tapirs at my door lol and that we didn't stay longer to be fair.

Pros: Location of Dantica in the beautiful valley is very good. Our room was private with a beautifel view and surrounded by nature. We had dinner at the onsite resaurant which was very good.

Cons: The walk (distance and steepness) from room to the reception area was good work out.

Rodolfo and his family were fantastic hosts in an awesome location.

Pros: Great views of the volcano. Awesome wildlife. Owners were fantastic.

Great plac with spectacular views and great atmosphere

Pros: Our lodge was bright and beautiful, the views were spectacular and it was spotlessly clean. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and the food in the restaurant was good.

Cons: Nothing except breakfast was a bit too earl for a family with teenagers

Beautiful cosy hotel with excellent service.

Pros: The view from the cabin was great. The hiking paths were fun and the meals at the restaurant delicious.

Cons: The interior of the cabins is a little past its prime but still okay.

Beautiful and relaxing lodge right in the valley of Quetzals and many birds

Pros: The lodge is very beautiful and owns a private forest. Bungalows are in different places of the forest and very quiet. The lodge organizes many different guided tours to explore and observe the birds in the vicinity and the surrounding. The breakfast is correct and delicious. Elisa was the only friendly staff I met there. She even organized a taxi to go to another region.

Cons: It’s pity that many staff were not friendly (no smiles, no conversation). Breakfast was served with just one coffee and no offer for a second one.
