Pros: The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and the location was very convenient. We felt very welcomed and looked after. We also loved the little dog, Violeta.

Warm and welcoming small hotel in a great location

Pros: What really stands out is the warm, family-like atmosphere of this small hotel. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was generous and very tasty. The location is also great — you can easily walk to the city center, several museums, and good restaurants.

Cons: The train passing nearby can be a bit noisy at times. Also, if neighbors smoke right outside their room, the smell may drift inside — though of course this is not something the hotel can control.

Pros: The place has got such a great, peaceful vibe. The bed was comfortable, I had a good night sleep and quiet until the near by train starts to work in the morning, did not bother me. I suppose everyone visiting Costa Rica will have an early wake up. The breakfast was one of the best what I had in Costa Rica. The area around is safe during the day, after sunset you should be more aware of your surroundings . I traveled alone and I didn’t encounter any issues.
