Calm, Cozy & Modern stay in the middle of busy San Jose
Pros: I had a great stay and was really happy with my room. The staff went above and beyond and even got up early to help me when I had to check out at an odd hour, which I truly appreciated. The decor is super cute. Everything looks well cared for and new facilities are super clean.
Cons: A couple small things could make the experience even better. A mirror in the bedroom and improved lighting in the bathroom would help a lot when getting ready. It’s always obvious when bathroom lighting wasn’t designed with makeup in mind. I’d also suggest adding a top sheet between the blanket and the bed. I’m not sure how often the blankets are washed, but having that extra layer would give guests more peace of mind.

Family style hospitality at Casa Zafiro. Clean, comfortable, beautiful place. Great Value.
Pros: Staying at Casa Zafiro felt like staying with family. We arrived after 8 p.m. on an international flight. JP reached out via WhatsApp to make sure we were still coming and checking in on us. The rooms and shared bathrooms are very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is amazing. Angelica, who is an angel, makes a homemade, Tico-style breakfast each day. Eggs, gallo pinto, fruit, coffee. Incredible. Be informed: this is a hostel-style lodging experience. Shared rooms, shared bathrooms. Adjust your expectations for privacy if they have a full-house, but the staff manages all of this with grace, keeps the place clean and makes everyone feel welcome. Sheets and bath towels are provided. The location is easy walking distance, or short Uber ride, from downtown museums, theatre, shopping, etc.
Cons: Not much to add about what could be better. Would suggest one or two small wall mirrors in the rooms so guests can quickly exit the restroom after showering, but have a mirror to finish getting ready. Additionally, a few hooks in the room to hang a bath towel or clothing would be helpful.

Geweldig!
Pros: De eigenaren waren geweldig. Dachten goed met ons mee. Zo konden we binnen een halve dag onze spullen laten wassen. De kamer was top, schoon, heerlijk bed en ruim opgezet. Leuke binnentuin waar het ontbijt wordt geserveerd. 20 minuten lopen naar een erg leuke wijk in het centrum.

A clean, colorful inn with great staff in central San Jose!
Pros: We loved Casa Zafiro! The location, although not the nicest street, its centrally located with easy street parking. The place is so bright and cheerful, we wished we could have stayed longer!

Alegre e Acolhedor
Pros: A Angélica é muito simpático, prestativa e atenciosa. Se prontificou a preparar o café (que estava uma delícia) fora do horário previsto para que eu não saísse para o meu vôo sem tê-lo tomado. A decoração do local é muito alegre e acolhedora, o quarto com cama muito confortável, lençóis e toalhas macios, banheiro limpo, com chuveiro quente e boa pressão de água. O local fica em uma rua tranquila, residencial, então muito silêncio durante a noite para uma boa noite de sono.
Cons: Ter acesso à uma cozinha compartilhada seria interessante. As vezes queremos preparar algo mais leve para não ter que sair ou guardar alguma coisa no refrigerador. Não é nada que desabone, o local e a experiência foram ótimas e Angélica se colocou à disposição para oferecer água quente ou algum outro item caso eu quisesse um chá, etc.

Pros: Toda la casa es hermosa, el ambiente super sano, limpio y acogedor. La alimentación espectacularmente rica y la señora un ser de luz. El recepcionista super atento 10 /10.
Cons: No podría mencionar nada en negativo, fue más de lo que buscaba.
