Balmoral Hotel San José CR

Pros: Helpful personnel, close to the city center, good breakfast. Great transfer hotel for first night in Costa Rica. We usedit already second time within 2 years.

Great stay in the heart of San Jose

Pros: Location on the avenida central is priceless. Room was big, bed was very comfortable.

Cons: If there is smth I didn t really like is the shower head screwed to the wall and not adjustable. But it s minor thing

Pros: Enjoyed the free upgrade to our room. Breakfast was very good. Comfortable bed.

Cons: Couldn’t open windows. Some miscommunication when paying restaurant bill.

Pros: I have been in and out of Costa Rica for 2 years. This property had no barking dogs, no trains, and especially no loud bar music at night. Occasionally, one or two guests would be unruly late at night, but the staff handled it well.

Pros: Wouldnt recoomend San Jose as a place to visit, but Hotel was good clean well located in downtown area with easy access to museums etc. Be aware of piclpockets!. Stafff were super helpful and friendly, room was large and clean. Breakfast was OK bit slow in servic.

Pros: Very convenient location to centre of San Jose. Lovely restaurant with a good breakfast. Staff very helpful especially car park attendant who helped my husband navigate our car to the hotel car park. Large comfortable bed.

Cons: Would prefer shower cubicle to a bath with shower overhead.

Pros: Nice hotel in a centre of San Jose. The room was clean, the staff ver friendly and helpful. The hotel is right in the centre, so we managed to explore the city and all the sights on foot. The breakfast was good and the selection was sufficient. I can highly recommend the hotel.

Pros: Fabulous location - we loved being i the heart of the old district with museums, restaurants, the park and the market all close at hand. The street was closed to vehicles and was a great walk. We really enjoyed the festive atmosphere on Saturday day and evening.

Cons: The room was a bit noisy during the day but quiet at night - so all good.
