Costa Rica 🇨🇷

Pros: Location is great.. Close to airport Gabby is super helpful and kind.

Cons: Light from outside is a bit bright in the Montezuma room, but the rooms have all been very comfortable otherwise.

Pros: The people are very nice and helpful. I usually stay in a private room, but since none were available, reception helped me to find a quiet, 2 person room.

Cons: There's nothing I didn't like as far as accommodations. My room was a little bright from street lights. Maybe some room darkening curtains would help 😊

Pros: location, 10minutes walk from airport (though you need to cross bit busy street) my flight was at 6:30am so there was almost no traffic - so walking to the airport was super easy.

Cons: there are no power sockets near beds - to charge your phone

Pros: Helpful staff, 24/7 reception, clean rooms with AC. Stayed 1 night before flight, for that price it is really good.

Cons: The area feels a bit shady at night, but then again this place felt safe with the 24/7 reception and locked main door. Even though it is close to the airport, walking there takes an hour and is a hassle.

Pros: Close to the airport. It has everything you need and the beds were super comfy!

Cons: Walking to the airport is not that easy as it’s across big bus roads so it’s best to get an uber

Close to the airport, excellent value for money, clean. Lovely staff!

Pros: Close to the airport. The staff were lovely. I had a private room which was lovely and spotless! Close to a big shop to buy food / supplies and restaurant. Toilet and shower very clean. They provided a towel too! Good WiFi.

Simple but great option for a layover

Pros: The Hostel is very close to the airport, which is a massive plus if you arrive in the afternoon and have to catch an early flight the following day. The distance between Toucan and the airport would probably even be walkable but since there are no sidewalks and the trafic gets crazy after 3 pm it's best to take a taxi. Spare yourself the trafic experience in San José! Staff is very nice and helpful. I was positively surprised that the receptionist speaks German! It was very quiet there during my stay at the end of November.

Cons: Only a few sockets in a dorm room to charge devices.

Pros: Room is comfortable and easy to check in . The staff were great helping for us to set up a great short termCosta Rican mobile phone for our holiday.

Cons: Difficult to park car, but they helped kindly to park it.
