Great value for the price. Good for solo travelers with decent amount of privacy.

Pros: Proximity to all important places. It is a tiny place, but I had enough of privacy. I felt great, like a part of the family, even though I was there solo. The owner know all the tips and hacks for hiking in Monteverde.

Cons: They have a new owner. Some equipment in the kitchen was missing. It is getting better every day.

Pros: The owner is really nice and welcoming. The place is perfect for exploring the area or just hang out. Great breakfast too, hot shower was hot. Everything good!

Cons: The ceiling in the rooms are a bit low but not really a problem.

Pros: Dorm is going director to a balcon and we SEE a Lot of different birds and was perfect cuz we don't see nothing i'm the cloud forest, but Jesús find us a prívate guide to do a nightwalk and was awesome!!

Cons: It's cold, but the host get US a extra blanckets and they have host showers so the fix all

Affordable hostel in the center of the city.

Pros: The host is very nice and helpful and the included breakfast was delicious. We stayed two nights and really enjoyed our stay at Mi Casa Tica.

Cons: The hostel is small and a bit outdated, but this was not a problem for us and was to be expected since the stay was very cheap.
