Hostel Paco House

Pros: Sadie & Paco made us feel so welcome and are very sweet people. It’s the cheapest place we found in Monteverde to stay too and has breakfast included!

I am so happy that I stayed here. Such a special place.

Cons: There is a bit of noise coming from traffic which calm down at night but with earplugs is all good

Pros: The couple Sady and Mario are so wonderful. You cannot have better people.host you. They are so sweet, very professional but warm. The place is small but you don't feel like it. I was there with my husband and 2 kids and they were fabulous. Sadly even took my boys to the park nearby for a walk. Breakfasts was great. The place is cute and quaint. Alot of value for your money staying here!

Cozy budget~friendly stay.

Pros: Very cozy, staff was very welcoming. They were very patient with my beginner Spanish. Great location close to downtown. Loved the dogs and pig in the basement. Amazing breakfast and coffee!

Cons: At the price, it was fair. Advertisement stated there was a terrace. There kind of was a small one, but it didn’t have anywhere to sit so not very usable for guests.

Pros: As soon as I arrived, I felt like at home. My favourite place in Costa Rica. Excellent atmosphere, fast WiFi, delicious breakfasts.

Such kind hosts

Pros: I visited during the low season so I got the dorm room I booked all to myself. The staff seems to be a family that also lives in the same building. They are incredibly kind and helpful. They even cooked me dinner both nights I stayed there. Truly awesome hosts.

Cons: The bathroom sink was outside of the bathroom and very much in the common space. This wasn’t the worst thing but definitely not ideal. The common spaces are also used by the family that lives there. This wasn’t a problem for me as they were incredibly friendly but it’s something to be aware of when booking.

Great hostess, good location, fun home away from home.

Pros: Sadie was a fabulous host, along with her family and friends we enjoyed our time in the house. She is a great cook, letting us try some of the local food. We miss her and Peppa already.

Cons: Nothing of note at the price.

Pros: The people were so nice at the hostel. I felt like i was in my family.they also offered my dinner and a nicer room than i asked.

Cons: It was right next to the street so you could hear the cars and motorbike really well. It was like if i was in the street. You defenetly needs earplugs.

A little gem in Monteverde

Pros: As costaricans ourselves, we can completely recommend this hostel. We felt like staying at our aunt's house. It's safe and comfortable, and you will have an authentic costarican experience!
