Malekus Mountain Lodge

Pros: Our stay was an exceptional experience. Roger and Rose were super kind and helpful giving ideas for places to visit, where to eat etc. One of the highlights was the breakfast, every day with fresh fruit juice and varied costarican food. Malekus is located in a stunning location surrounded by nature at its best. Definitively highly recommendable!!

Pros: Absolutely amazing place. Roger and Rosie so very attentive. Swimming pool excellent. Hiking trails very accessible. Groceries nearby good. Included breakfast whatever you want. Definitely would stay there again.

Cons: Too much rain. Seriously heavy tropical downpour. Global warming the obvious culprit.

Paradise in the tropical mountains

Pros: Our visit to this lodge was unforgettable!The rooms and all the property have a very special charm:) Everything was clean and very much thought about. We enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was amazing and plenty, they cooked eggs from their own chickens! Owners' hospitality was exceptional, it was pleasure to meet such a wonderful couple! We hike the trails and visited hot springs pool nearby. Highly recommend this place for families and couples, you will not regret:)

Pros: Great location, nice parc and lovely hotel. Roger was always willing to give advices and smiling just like his wife. We had access to the pool(s), inside and outside and even to the kitchen for the fridge.one of the best place to rest between 2 hard hikes.

Cons: The rooms and beds were very small but I'm really tall

Pros: Everything, but especially the owners - Roger and his wife. Also the breakfast was amazing!

Cons: That we didn’t stay longer!

Pros: The lodge is organised and managed by a friendly and very supportive owner. It is a very good location to visit the national park in guanacaste! Breakfast very good and home made! The Wi-Fi is very limited and not good but this was not a. Limit for us. Take into account that you have to pay in cash; euros, dollars and euros are accepted.

Best hosts beautiful location.

Pros: The hosts are very kind and helpful. The best service experienced so far. The location is just beautiful. They have a very nice garden. There is also a trail nearby wich should lead you to a great view. We missed that because of bad weather. The host helpt us to find other locations to drive to where we could still hike and where it was expected to be dry. We felt very welcome and would advise everyone to stay here.

Cons: One towel had a stain.

Pros: Malekus Mountain Lodge is a beautiful property. The Lodge is the perfect base for hiking the local parks, and the breakfasts are varied & delicious. The hosts are kind and accommodating, and we appreciated all of their excellent recommendations regarding area activities. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon!

Absolutely delightful!

Pros: Malekus Mountain Lodge was absolutely lovely. Roger and Rosie went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They prepared a wonderful breakfast and were so, so friendly and gracious. Their property is gorgeous and the rooms are comfy. I particularly like the little walking path around the property and the fireplace that Roger helped me light in the common area. This place is an absolute gem and I would definitely stay there for longer next time and recommend it to others. Ps. If you need a hair dryer, just ask Roger. They don't have them in all the rooms, but they do have them. 😍 Thank you for the lovely stay, Roger and Rosie! 🙏❤️
