Switzerland 🇨🇭

Pleasant enough.

Pros: Delicious Gallo Pinta for breakfast but weak coffee. Staff friendly and helpful. Sadly, there was the sound of a washing machine on spin cycle often during the night. Possibly in a basement or an adjoining building.

Cons: For the money it was perfectly acceptable.

Perfekt choice if you don't want to stay direktly at the airport

Pros: Very flexible at check-In. Had the chance to choose between two available rooms. Very friendly and arranged a good taxi for an excellent price in the middle of the night to the airport.

Pros: The staff was amazing and very friendly. I loved that their English was limited so I could practice my Spanish! Very close to the airport. The bed and pillows are super comfy. Yes, there is hot water!

Cons: Everything was great! No complaints.

Excellent Hotel

Pros: Hotel Central 5-10 minutes walking from bus Station to the rear of cathedral. Room and decor very good. Small balcony ( not large enough to sit on) with plants. Hotel stylish.

Cons: It is on a busy corner and can be noisy if you don't like sound of traffic

Pros: Very central position, nice and helpful staff, very clean. I find it very convenient whenever I have arrive at the airport late in the afternoon or if I have an early flight in the morning.

Cons: My room was a little noisy but that's to be expected since the hotel is in the very center of the city. I have stayed in other rooms of the same hotel that were less noisy.

Pros: The hotel was centrally located and close the airport. If you want to walk around downtown Alajuela, the location is great. It's in the middle of the city and noise is to be expected. However, when I woke up shortly after midnight on a Saturday it was quiet. However, by 5 a.m. you could hear cars tearing down the street.

Cons: The Booking.com listing indicated that a shuttle was provided. They'll call a taxi for you, but there is no free shuttle.
