Aguila de Osa Rainforest Lodge

Pros: The location is amazing and the staff were really friendly. There were all-inclusive options or it is close enough to walk to the nearest town Bahía Drake to eat out in the evening. Food at the hotel was great and the dining area was a great place to meet with other guests.

Cons: If you are ‘normally fit’ it’s not a problem but there are a lot of steps to get to some of the bedrooms. Once there the views are incredible.

An absolute delight

Pros: It was impeccably clean, the views were amazing, the food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. The tours were great and we were able to see a lot of wildlife.

Cons: Just be aware there are quite a lot of steps to the bedrooms.

Perfect hotel

Pros: We loved everything. We had an amazing stay. The staff is very professional and nice. The rooms are very comfortable. The hotel is really nice. The location is perfect, close to the beaches and trails. Food is excellent. We wish we could stay longer.

Pros: Wonderful place with friendly staff, in an incredible Location. So much wildlife to be viewed from our balcony. Excellent food.

Pros: The staff were amazing, incredibly helpful and helped us have a brilliant time. The hotel has its own dock which makes going on tours of the area really easy. Highly recommend getting the transfer boat from Sierpe, very easy and quick.,

Perfectly situated lodge with fabulous food.

Pros: Fabulous lodge looking out over the ocean. The rooms are big and airy and we loved the communal space too. The food was a highlight- delicious with a good choice of dishes, and flexible for picky children. We also did a couple of tours with the Aquila guides who were very knowledgeable and friendly.

Beautiful, calm (when the monkeys aren't in residence!), friendly lodge. Recommend minimum 3 nights.

Pros: Beautiful secluded lodge that is only accessible by boat or plane. Either option means it's a memorable arrival and departure. We were treated to a pod of humpback whales showing off on our return journey. Everything from cold towels and welcome drink on arrival to tour availability and stunning food, was great. I'm GF and they made an exceptional effort, always providing suitable alternatives. All the staff worked tirelessly and seemed very well organised and super friendly. Really enjoyed communal dining in the evening and met some lovely people along the way. Free use of kayaks was a bonus.

Cons: Our room was terraced and so I felt that the air flow was rather restricted with no side windows. There were 2 decent fans but still there wasn't much respite from the humidity.

Pros: Hotel in the middle of the jungle very nice located. Breakfast was great! Be aware of the monkeys while you eat. :-) But it´s quite funny and cute. Rooms clean and quite big and with good beds and mattresses. Very friendly staff.

Cons: you have to walk up the hill to the rooms with a lot of stairs
