Bella Vista Corcovado

Very nice experience!

Pros: The host family was very nice. Despite the language barrier, the family and especially Lucas helped us a lot. They helped us organize a tour to Sirena and a snorkeling and diving tour. Both tours were fantastic and everything worked great. The food at the family restaurant is also very delicious.

Cons: The path to the beach is very steep. As there is almost nothing else around, you will be dependent on the family restaurant for food.

Remote magical view location

Pros: We loved the very remote location, the sunset there is amazing to observe

Cons: We had to cross 2 rivers by moto to access, can be dangerous by moto, better if you have a SUV

Beautiful family hotel with peaceful, breathtaking view and delicious, home-made food

Pros: The food was just delicious, everything was made fresh and we got to taste delicious fruits. Would 100% recommend everyone to eat here, best food I’ve had in CR. Lucas showed us around the place and new all the trees and birds and animals. The view is just breathtaking. You want to capture it in a picture, but it’s impossible.

Cons: Super small things like a bed light and more hooks for clothes in the room would be nice. Wifi is not really a thing, but that adds to the peace and quite and enjoying the nature in its pure form. Also, take enough cash or make sure you have a paypal account, because you don’t want to save money here.

Pros: It's paradise. Very quiet and remote, a lot of birds and stunning sunsets. We were so happy not to be in Drake, but in this magical place in which we felt like at the end of the world. The food is good and the owner has a lot of stories to tell. Spanish very useful. Try to get a room with sea view.

Pros: It is a nice accommodation with family atmosphere and friendly stuff. The view point - bella vista - is exeptional. We also enjoyed near beach. It was great to have 1 mile long pacific sandy beach only for ourselves :-) Nice place to rest!

Pros: Accommodation is basic, but was fine for us. The room had a shared veranda with a hammock overlooking the most amazing view. The owner is really nice and happy to arrange your trips. There's a restaurant on site serving traditional Costa Rican food whihc was all really nice. The main thing about this place is the location. Its up ona hill overlooking the sea. Wonderful family ruled hotel in a special environment

Pros: The family working there is so wonderful. only stayed four nights but we really felt at home. the view is very nice. you can hike from there to the scretch of the national park by yourself. the beach has an awesome rural charme, we loved it, rough for swimming but if you take care it is fine, you will have the beach sometimes for yourself. The hotel is super clean

Cons: It is a very remote place. compared to camping it is a luxury hotel, compared to a city hotel the opposite. Beds too hard. light to bright. walls thin. but you are there for the nature, we already miss it

Location with exceptional view

Pros: Amazing location but make sure to arrive with a 4x4 vehicle because the street might get flooded by the river (also during dry season).

Cons: It was a bit hard to communicate with the staff because they didn’t speak English at all, nevertheless they were friendly! The food was not the best and the portions not that big. It’s better to take notes about your orders at the restaurant because the staff might get confused about that at payment.

Tramonti indimenticabili e risvegli allietati dai suoni di mille uccelli.

Pros: La posizione è perfetta per godersi i tramonti, la famiglia offre un’accoglienza speciale, la cucina è molto buona. Il giardino pieno di fiori è una gioia per il naso e gli occhi.

Cons: La posizione in cima ad una salita impegnativa è un po’ provante con il caldo e i bagagli.

Überraschend schön und genau das was ich gesucht habe! Ich war glücklich mit meiner Wahl!

Pros: Für mich perfekte Lage. Sehr nette Leute, überraschend schöner Platz. Kleiner Familienbetrieb, einfach angenehm. Wer Luxus sucht, ist fehl am Platz. Wer Ruhe sucht und Vögel beobachten will oder Exkrusionen in den Wald oder an die Küste machen möchte, der wird sich wohl fühlen. Ich konnte auch gut arbeiten (Laptop). Die Gemeinschaftsterrasse wird immer woh einem angenehmen Lüftchen umweht. Bin anstatt 3 geplanter Tage eine Woche geblieben. Zwischendurch eine Nacht auf Tour im NP Corcovado - Gepäck unterstellen war kein Problem. Taxi Flughafen - Bella Vista Corcovado war wie bestellt vor Ort, hat bestens geklappt. Preis für Taxi ist allerdings sehr hoch.
