Easy one nighter
Pros: Easy check in with a person on the desk. Nice pool area with communal kitchens which had a good feel about them. Clean and tidy room witha fridge, air con and fans all working.
Cons: Pool water looked pretty bad in the lights at night. Few rough patches appearing around the accomodation, needs a little maintenance but was not a problem.

It was a great location for one night and to spend some time by the beach.
Pros: it had a big pool area, multiple tables and a lounge area (with a kitchen). All of the tables were under the roof so you could sit outside while it was raining. It was surrounded by big coconut trees and the beach is right in front of the property.
Cons: The rooms are relatively small.

Clean, friendly. Good place to stay on a budget.
Pros: Clean, friendly place. It was great. Nice pool. Great location.
Cons: No hot water upstairs which made for cold showers. But it wasn't a huge deal - just unexpected. Didn't complain as we were only there one evening.

Friendly and quiet
Pros: Friendly staff and nice clean room. Free coffee and water by the pool. Very quiet area. Supermarket around the corner. Garden was well tended, lush grass, hammocks and comfortable recliners.
Cons: Beach was nice, but huge waves prevented any swimming. Good for surfers though.

Pros: It's a budget hotel in a great location. We had an issue with our room on the first night and were moved to another room the next day immediately without any quibbles or fuss. The pool is lovely, it's a convenient walk to the restaurants nearby. Great value for money, lovely vibe in Playa Hermosa.
Cons: The usual selfish European practice of claiming sun loungers! One family matriarch was up at 6.30am every day to reserve 6 of the 10 sun loungers with towels. There were long periods when they weren't actually using them, just reserving the option! To be fair that wasn't the fault of the staff, but they should discourage the practice, and if I'd have wanted to use a sun lounger that had been vacated for hours I would have, towel or no towel..
