Amazing place to stay

Pros: The person at the reception was very friendly and helpful. I am afraid I cant remember his name but I was there from 23 to 25 of January if it helps the hotel for feedback. Room was great and very spacious. Location is amazing as its a short walk to the beach and a 15m drive to Samara if you like to see more options for restaurants and shops. Playa Carillo is very similar to Samara, but just quieter and with no shops, just some vendors by the beach. The swimming pool has a great view of the beach and its big. I would definitely come back. Even though we only stayed two nights, I can see me spending there an extended holiday.

Cons: Its not that I didnt like it, but as the booking didnt include breakfast so we ended up going to Samara to try options there (which were great!)

Spacious quiet serene

Pros: The only hotel adjacent to a gorgeous undeveloped bay and beach. And with Carrillo Tours next door we saw dolphins and whales! Samara 15 minutes away has nice restaurants.

Stunning place to stay

Pros: Truely stunning views from room, restaurant and pool Easy walk to beautiful beach Huge room

Cons: This is an amazing hotel due to views and location so definately come here but minor issues would be poor shower pressure and the room was big but had zero character

Most excellent.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay. Great spot with a fabulous vista. Dinner was excellent and affordable. Sunset views.

Amazing location and view

Pros: Amazing location, great swimming pool with a stunning view of the sea perfect to admire the sunset and a lovely bar. Very nice staff. Breakfast restaurant with fantastic view. Great beach just across the road with access directly from the hotel. Great view of nature and sea also from the room which had big windows and a little patio outside.

Cons: Cleanliness could be better in the room and the bathroom. Shower head dated and bad water pressure.

Pros: View from the room was amazing,food was delicious and reasonably priced, Staff was courteous

Wonderful hotel with a great ocean view

Pros: Really wonderful nice big rooms and the pool with the view to the ocean is amazing.

Cons: I couldn’t buy anything at the bar and book it at my room number. For that I would have needed to create an account during check-in. Unfortunately no one mentioned that during check-in. In other hotels it is a standard that you can use your room number / key to buy beverages at the bar or food in the restaurant without any additional administrative work.

A lovely hotel for a few days, but with some quirks!

Pros: Aesthetically very pleasing. Rooms huge and pool area well designed with a beautiful view. Staff mostly friendly and efficient.

Cons: The rooms had nowhere to hang anything. No wardrobe, no cupboard- literally not so much as a hook in the place. Over half the sunloungers were unusable because they had no shade. No water available at breakfast: you have to buy it in bottles!!!

Pros: We requested room by the pool and it was perfect ..room pictured above directly behind pool a few steps away Beautiful resort ..delicious strawberry daiquiris..they are strong but not strong tasting so beware lol Howler monkeys in the trees by the pool Beautiful beach across the road and down the stairs Beautiful sunset One of our favorite stays ❤️ Beautiful huge windows spacious room Shower had great pressure large shower

Cons: No table or stand in room to place your suitcase so had to place suitcase on floor When I booked on booking. Com I thought I was booking in Samara however it is in port Carillon but it ended up being the most beautiful beach we visited in our 25 days in Costa rica ..when I think back to the CR beaches this one is at the top of my list

Pros: location is perfect, standard is very good, but from the management point of view this is a strange place, beautiful rooms are enormous, but look as if interior designer sort of abandoned them, look half empty...

Cons: the staff is lost, someone should control their work
