Lovely place to spend a night

Pros: The whole property is beautiful, the pool is great and the trail that can be walked on the property is a nice easy stroll and if your quiet lots of animals can be seen. The restaurant was beautiful also!

Cons: If you are a vegetarian there are not really any options at the restaurant but breakfast was good some of the best egg I have tasted.

Beautiful rooms with stunning garden

Pros: Beautiful gardens, comfortable rooms, and a fantastic pool! The restaurant is reasonably priced with good food, and the bed was very comfortable. The room had everything we needed, though a fridge would have been handy. The owner and staff were wonderful and even gave us a lift to the bus terminal—such kind hospitality!

Cons: A great stopover spot, but having a car is essential if you plan to explore Sarapiquí, as taxis are pricey as the property is far from all activities. It wasn’t an issue for us, but worth noting the bathroom isn’t fully enclosed, so keep that in mind for privacy.

A quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of our North American lives

Pros: The owner, Jean Pierre, has had a great vision for Hacienda La Isla since he bought the property 18 years ago - a sustainable retreat that is ecologically and culturally sound. Talking with him and walking the 3.5 km nature trail we’re both unexpected treats.

Paradise! Dont miss it

Pros: Sleeping in the « domo » (the yurt) was truly magical. we could thus hear nature better. The bedroom and bathroom area were spacious, comfortable and very clean. The garden and the property are really gorgeous We took advantage of it to take the 4km walk in the forest path into the property. The view from the restaurant is incredible for breakfast. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Our guests was super kind and helpful!

Pros: Stayed here for a night to break a long journey, stayed on for a local guide arranged by lodge on cacao growing & production which was amazing, so educational & delicious. The accommodation including super huge bed in lovingly built traditional buildings set right in jungle surroundings. Fantastic marked trail around grounds to explore the jungle and kitchen garden. A big bonus was the pool where we sat and watched the monkeys playing in the trees above. Also had dinner which was excellent and met the owner who is friendly, passionate about the environment and really helpful.

Pros: Its beautiful place specially if you like nature. Owners & staff were lovely and polite.

Cons: The place wasn’t as easy to find specially when its dark. Maybe to help some better larger signage or give pictures or instructions of how to to get to place with pictures might be useful.

Pros: A quirky, eclectic property, fascinating layout with seriously healthy forest. Howler monkeys on site, also saw 2 types of poison arrow frogs and many birds. Great kitchen dishing up freshly prepared food. Friendly, helpful staff.

Entspannend

Pros: Die Familie, die das B&B betreibt ist sehr freundlich ubd zuvorkommend. Als wir etwas auf der Bettdecke entdeckt haben, haben sie sofort alles gewechselt und ausgetauscht. Das Hotel hat einen wunderschönen Garten, der dehr lieblich gepflegt wird und man kann rund um das Hotel einen ca 3km langen Spaziergang durch den Regenwald machen. Wir hatten das Glück einen Tukan zu sehen. Ausserdem sieht man die Plantage und den eigenen Anbau, die die Familie für das Hotel hat. Das Zimmer war gross und auch das Bett sehr bequem und schön. Die Küche war grandios. Das Abendessen (Reis mit Chicken) vermisse ich jetzt schon und auch das Frühstück war sehr sehr lecker! Alle sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, man fühlt sich sehr wohl da.

Cons: Da es im Regenwald liegt, ist alles ziemlich feucht, weshalb es auch einige Insekten hat, auch im Zimmer. Aber eben, falls mal was stört, steht das Personal sofort da und hilft.

Pros: La decoración es muy bonita. Rodeado de naturaleza. Camas cómodas y XL. Habitación confortable

Cons: No es fácil encontrar la ubicación. Está un poco escondido lo cual da privacidad pero complica la llegada
