Excellent location and a very clean & comfortable hotel. But we weren’t happy about the food.

Pros: The taxi service from the airport to the hotel was excellent and it was great to be in a quiet area away from the hotel. The beds were so comfortable & everything was really clean.

Cons: We were on a delayed flight & we let the hotel know in advance. But, as we arrived just after 9pm, the restaurant and bar were closed, so we couldn’t get anything to eat or drink. We had no idea that would have been the situation or we would have bought food at the airport.

Pros: A lovely, well appointed hotel that's close enough to the airport for a stay before or after landing and the grounds are absolutely superb! Truly beautiful park like gardens with a plethora of birdlife.

Comfortable hotel set in magnificent gardens with great local birdlife

Pros: The hotel is in a northern suburb of San Jose set in large, beautifully landscaped gardens rich in local bird life. Service was polite and professional. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet.

Cons: The restaurant food at dinner and breakfast did not seem up to the standard of the hotel itself. Breakfast choice was quite limited considering the large number of guests. Dinner was bland and the glass of wine ordered was stale though the waiter replaced it with a glass from a fresh bottle. A sandwich specifically ordered for a vegan lunch companion contained mayonnaise and had to be sent back.

Excellent experience, would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in San Jose.

Pros: Enjoyed the restaurant space, the large windows allow light to enter. the variety of the food was good. Liked the breakfast juice and fruit selections. Steak at dinner was excellent. Staff were all friendly, courteous and helpful. Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The decor in the hotel is bright and colourful. Loved the gardens.

Cons: Road-facing rooms can be a bit noisy due to traffic but not overly disturbing. Perhaps some double-glazing on the windows that side would help.
