Green Macaw Hostel

Pros: Very functional hostel. We just had a room with a ventilator. But we don't need more. Clean, very sweet hosts and they treated us like family. The Tourguide Arturo is associated with the hostel and a great guide. I can recommend booking with him over booking with other tours. We went on a private turtle and boat tour with him.

All you need for a stay in Tortuguero! :)

Pros: Lovely Eddil made me feel at home straight away. She helped me organise affordable transport to her hostel and my onward travel. She is incredibly friendly, picked me up from the harbour, and also arranged 3 tours including a turtle nesting tour. The hostel has all you need for a basic stay. It was clean, had comfortable beds, and I felt safe at all times. Eddil was always on hand to help with any questions I had. The breakfast is also delicious!

Would book again. Good value for money. Lovely host.

Pros: Very nice hostess, always answers quick and such a wholesome person<3. Comfortable bed, good WiFi, own Bathroom, private space, hammocks, room is good protected against bugs and a spacious fridge. Less then 1 minute from the beach. Really fair for the price. 3 minute walk from to a supermarket. And 5-10minute to the port and other shops.

Cons: The kitchen is not the best, but it works fine. Make sure that you book with a guide who is legit, we recommend online.

Pros: The staff is very friendly! Our guide Arturo was great! He showed us a lot during the canoe tour and the night walk. The location is nice, close to the beach at the end of town.

Pros: Edil was very nice and welcoming. She gave us a lot of information and was an excelent guide for the turtle's sprawning The room was small but nice and clean

Pros: A simple but nice place in Tortuguero. The center is just 5min away and the beach really close. The owner was really kind and welcomed us warmly. She did with us the Turtletour which was amazing!

Pros: I had a wonderful time at Green Macaw! The room was comfortable and everything was very clean. Eddil is such a friendly host and helps whereever she can. I really enjoyed cooking tortillas together with her! Her brother Arturo is also a great tour-guide for example a night walk! I can totally recommend this place and because of them I enjoyed my stay at the tortuguero a lot ☺️

Pros: De owner was really nice. She wants to help arrange everything you need.

Cons: At the time of writing, construction was underway. So when you got back after a tour, there was a lot of noice. When it is finished it should look even better

Pros: Super endroit, extrêmement bien placé dans Tortuguero ! Chambre simple mais pas besoin de plus, le lit était confortable. Tout était très propre. Cuisine commune très fonctionnelle. L'hôte Eddil est très sympathique, chaleureuse et accueillante. Elle peut vous réserver les excursions si vous le souhaitez. Je recommande vivement ! :)
