El Deseo Serendipity Tortuguero

Wonderful and relaxing stay

Pros: Had a wonderful and relaxing stay at El Deseo. Located just steps from the beach and an easy walk to the village too. The room was spacious and cleaned frequently throughout the day which was a welcome surprise. The hotels terrace area is a great place to relax and watch the local wildlife. The best part of this hotel is the staff. I have travelled quite a bit and I would say the staff at El Deseo were the kindest and most hospitable I have ever come across. They were all so attentive with big smiles on their faces all the time. A special shoutout to Alicia who helped us a lot before and during the stay. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Tortuguero.

Pros: Low-key, small hotel with no frills but well located in the residential part of the town and right on the beach. Friendly staff.

Cons: Breakfast was a bit limited

Loved location and we were lucky to have a sloth in tree near hotel

Pros: Great location overing looking the sea. Modern and stylish. Very comfortable beds and wonderful hot shower. Everyone was exceptionally happy, helpful and generous with their time. Escorting us to the centre of town when we needed to meet our guide Boa. Highly recommended!!!

Pros: Our daughter forgot her laptop which she needed for work and Cooper ( hotel manager) could not have been more helpful - lending us his own personal one to use. Absolutely outstanding customer service from him particularly, but also from all the staff, who were caring and helpful.

Lovely stay in great location.

Pros: Had a lovely stay and the service was really good. They carried our bags from the boat and nothing was too much trouble. Nice area outside with seating overlooking the sea. Perfect location.

Pros: Absolutely wonderful staff! They are incredibly kind and always ready to help—whether it’s arranging transportation for your luggage, assisting with activities, or welcoming you with a refreshing drink upon arrival. The location right by the beach is simply perfect—peaceful, relaxing, and the ideal place to unwind. Highly recommended!

Pros: Beautiful place to stay. Quiet and well managed by Cooper. It is not cheap, but this is a gd standing for such a remote place. Verry easy organisation and communication before arrival.

Cons: The Town and parc is probably more enjoyable under low season to avoid mass turism. The hotel is out from main street so calm anyway.
