Pros: I booked this stay to enjoy the views and it felt like a real treat every single day! Beautiful sunsets and amazing to see the whales tail. I saw many birds from my balcony including a close encounter with a toucan! Also a Tayra? In the bushes. The meals were fresh and very affordable. Large comfortable bed, working air con. The staff are lovely. Jessica on reception was so thorough and helpful with everything, all done with great kindness. Franco is a top tier whizz behind that bar and made me feel welcome immediately, so personable. Thank you to the other staff who were also kind and welcoming. It’s a lovely place to relax, unwind and enjoy the views.

Cons: The room is basic and has everything you need! It was just a little worn in some areas e.g. the bathroom seals and shower floor, it was also a little dusty here and there but overall nothing to impair my stay. If you don’t have your own 4x4, you have to be willing to order taxis to get to and from places due to the steep hill, my transport was easily arranged.

Beautiful setting to see the sunsets from an infinity pool.

Pros: The pool, restaurant and bar areas were really lovely especially the infinity pool. There are also amazing views and an ideal setting to see the sunset. The staff were amazing especially Jason they couldn’t do enough to help.

Cons: Our room was tired especially the bathroom. Could do with a makeover. There were lots of stairs and no lifts but the staff helped with our luggage but still lots of stairs to climb to and from our room to the main area. The road up to the hotel is steep and badly kept which made a very bumpy ride.

We were glad we came and will be back again (hopefully after the road construction is completed)

Pros: The location is superb. The views were very good. The staff were top notch, and very attentive. I communicated ahead of our visit to arrange a birthday cake for my wife, and they handled this request perfectly.,

Cons: The road up the steep hill was under construction, which meant that half of it was not useable., The edge of the new half had rebar metal prongs sticking out of the (new) concrete. These left a tire damage hazard when driving on the old part. As a result, the drive in was hair raising. One of the cars of the group we came with had a flat tire shortly after arrival (though I can't be sure the above hazard was the cause). When completed, the road will be much better, but I would have appreciated info when we registered (rather than a few days prior to our arrival) regarding the road construction. My second issue with the description of the hotel was that (for me) the description of the facilities did not succeed in communicating that guests stay in different buildings which are primarily accessed by stairs. (However there was a shuttle available for the folks in our party who directly booked their rooms, and ended up furthest down the hill.) I carefully read reviews and had gathered that stairs might be an issue. But I think the description on the Booking site (aside from the Reviews) could have been clearer regarding this issue. For some guests this might be a major problem, though it was not a major issue for us

Pros: Really nice spot to relax. Tasty food at the restaurant, well stocked bar, good coffee. Swimming pool area is really nice and the staff make you feel at ease. Good experience all around.

Breathtaking views!

Pros: The property was situated on top of the hill viewing the sea and the infamous ‘whale tale’. It has beautiful views and the staff were all super friendly!

Cons: One thing we noticed, the lunch and dinners at the property were honestly so so so good! But breakfast which was the only one included in the price was very average. But other than that we loved our stay.

Cons: It is difficult to find & is high in the mountains & you need a 4x4 to get there.

Great views and nice pool

Pros: Great views, polite staff, very nice pool, AC, hot water. WIfi. The road to the hotel doesn't require a 4×4 car. We were driving late in the evening and in the rain and had no issues to get up there. We were surprised by many reviews concerned about the road condition and saying to use only 4x4. We had a regular SUV (not 4x4), and felt that even in a sedan it should be OK.

Cons: Some smell from the bathroom in the room, 100 steps from the room to the lobby and restaurant. Breakfast was ok but could be better. I felt that the place is overpriced.

Pros: Amazing views from rooms and pool area. Pool area and bar is very nice and didn’t expect it. Breakfast was good with great service and plenty of coffee. Overall experience was better than expected and felt like staring at nice high end tropical lodge with amazing views

Fabulous one night break!

Pros: Amazing views and lovely friendly restaurant staff! Amazing yoga deck!

Cons: Rooms a little dated but fabulous balcony overlooking the whale tail and comfortable bed! Definitely need a 4x4 to get here!

Pros: The view, the amazing breakfast and welcoming staff
