Incredible place. Sergio and Gloria couldn’t have made our stay any better. Everything was perfect.

Pros: Perfect place to stay. Everything was incredible. The tours Sergio took us on were amazing. He is so passionate and informative about the area. We will definitely be back.

Very pleasant, good people, great location

Pros: Great location in San Francisco, a small village a boat ride away from Tortuguero . Hosts were very helpful. Breakfast was great, canal rides are a must as this is what Tortuguero has to offer. Tortuguero mountain is a 10 minute walk away. Not really a mountain but a series of steps up to a fine view point.

Cons: Nothing!

Friendly, peaceful, surrounded by wildlife and great value

Pros: From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we had the most amazing time. Gloria, with the lovely smile, makes the best breakfasts and is always around to help with anything you need and Sergio is an incredible tour guide (we did both a day and a night boat trip and saw so much wildlife including a puma and a tapir! The room was comfy and clean and the swimming pool perfect in the afternoon San francisco is amazing. So friendly. There are a few tiny restaurants and a super market. You can walk to the “cerro” to see monkeys and much more and there is a taxi bus to tortuguero

Cons: Nothing - our stay was incredible

Pros: Gloria and her family are extremely nice and welcoming! We especially enjoyed the canal tour with her husband, which was very individual and much better than commercial tours. The room was simple and clean. In general, San Francisco is a very nice and quiet village with a few very nice and authentic restaurants and bars - contrasting the crowded Tortuguero town. We enjoyed our two nights stay a lot!!

Amazing

Pros: Gloria is the most fabulous host. She and her family are so friendly and accommodating - she really makes sure you have the most relaxing holiday. The swimming pool was a real treat too.

Cons: We knew to not expect hot hot water in the shower but we never had any. That said I would still choose to stay again.

Pros: Lovely quiet location outside tortuguero, friendly owner and great tours. Pool was a bonus!

Pros: Really comfortable beds, great breakfasts. The tours were amazing Sergio went to so much effort to make sure we saw as many birds and animals as possible. Seeing the turtles nesting was really special.
