La Finca Lodge

One of the best hotels we stayed at :-)

Pros: Everything :-) Staff were responsive and extremely helpful and friendly. We had a very personalised experience on every level. Horse riding & ATV experiences felt as if we were with friends and not paying tourists. The team shared fantastic local tips regarding restaurants and things to do around La Fortuna which were not very touristy but authentic and really enjoyable. The restaurant was fantastic! Beautiful surroundings in nature.

Pros: Fabulous room with outside patio and hammock and chairs. Spacious. Amazing shower. Good restaurant. Loved the grounds. Able to follow trails straight from the lodge. It is remote. You need a car..great for relaxation for a couple of days after our long flight from uk

Pros: Absolutely amazing hotel with the friendliest and most caring staff I ever met. Beautiful villas, totally private and clean. Matresses were really comfortable and this view from panoramic windows - waking up there is a kind of hedonistic experience you go to Costa Rica for. 10/10

Faboulus and uniqe

Pros: The hotel is amazing, it exceeded our expectations. It is in a wonderful setting, away from the noise of the city, in a fabulous location. The room is extremely clean, spacious, well equipped, comfortable, we loved the terrace, it is very discreet, surrounded by beautiful plants, many different birds visited the plants, for example hummingbirds. Breakfast and dinner were also very delicious, the staff was very kind and helpful, they recommended fantastic programs and attractions that were not crowded with tourists. I can only recommend it! We will definitely be back.

Cons: Vegetation around the balcony was lovely, but would have been nice to be able to see beyond that, as the view would have been good.

Excellent reception

Pros: We found the farm by chance when our itinerary changed. We arrived quite late because we drove from Manuel Antonio National Park. Despite that, Mariano, a handsome and charming receptionist, was very kind and offered to extend our jacuzzi time, as well as showing us around the room. The next day we explored the farm and had breakfast there. It's a wonderful place with a warm, family atmosphere.

Pros: Everything is perfect, the location , the staff and the facilities. I would totally recommend to anyone who is going la fortuna , to book this property as it is to die for. The location is slightly far hence why you would need to have a rental car for this location but for us it didn’t matter at all.

Cons: The breakfast option would liked to have a more variety but it was still a really good and pleasant breakfast.

Pros: Soothing and calming. At one with nature. Horse riding , rafting and visiting Arenal volcano all unique in their own way. Views were amazing. Will definitely recommend and will definitely return.

Peaceful location with excellent staff.

Pros: In a beautiful setting- very tranquil. We loved the many animals and the walks amongst the trees in the finca. The staff were all so friendly, attentive and couldn't do enough to help us with local information about places to visit.

Cons: We feel a car is a real benefit to see the most of the area as it is quite remote although Ubers are available if you want to explore beyond the property. The staff also helped us with renting a car and we received favourable rates as a result of staying at the Finca.
