A Great Place to stay in Monteverde

Pros: Nice wooden chalet room. Clean and spacious with a kitchenette. Staff were kind and friendly. Breakfast was very good. A 5 min walk to the centre of town. It was quite windy when we went, so do bring warm clothes for the evening.

Pros: Our room was very spacious and clean, with a small kitchenette, where we could prepare snacks and lunches. The staff were really friendly and gave us some really helpful recommendations including the local Christmas lights parade, which was a real highlight of our trip.

Cons: Not much.

Hearty, refreshing mountain stay.

Pros: Monteverde is a special place, and the Villa Lodge is equally special. The staff make you feel right at home and part of the family. The rooms are very private and spacious, which gives welcome relief after many tighter accommodations. Their assistance with organising tours and transport was very efficient.

Cons: It is ever so slightly distant from Monteverde itself, but Santa Elena is close and the walk in the cool and fresh mountain air was part of the fun. As for getting to Monteverde, the staff is very helpful with solutions.

Pros: Last-minute booking due to abrupt change in travel plans, but Crisitina was more than welcoming and accommodating with helping and advising us what to do/where to go whilst staying in Monte Verde. The rooms were spacious, and there was a good selection of breakfast options to choose from in the morning. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Cons: The location was only slightly away from the town centre, but this really wasn't an issue.

The staff were exceptional!

Pros: The staff were amazing! It is a family run place and everyone was so friendly and lovely (and very patience with us as we tried to practice our Spanish!) The room was lovely, spacious and clean and the breakfast was delicious. I cannot recommend this place more! Their dog was super cute aswell.

Pros: Super friendly people working at the hotel. Very short walk to city center, highly recommend! We had a bungalow, it was great!

Comfortable stay in Monteverde

Pros: The owner and staff were lovely and very helpful and breakfast was delicious. The little covered area was great to sit out on. The room was big and spacious and the little kitchen area was great. It would have been good to have a sofa in the room.

Cons: The room was a quite dark.

Cosy stay in Monteverde

Pros: Joe who greeted us at reception on our first night was friendly and informative and really helped us decide what to do in Monteverde. We were really grateful for his recommendations which were excellent. Breakfast was delicious and the laundry service as efficient and reasonably priced.

Cons: Had a really comfortable stay here, nothing bad to say.

Pros: Spacious room, good shower and friendly staff. No need for airconditioning because it was cooler and you could open all the windows (with screens). Between the cabaña and the wall there was a small roofed outdoor space were you could dry yor clothes and shoes. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Santa Elena.

Cons: You could hear the near by road quite well but luckely there was almost no traffic at night.

Pros: Nice and large bungalow, very friendly staff and located in walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Cons: Despite many lamps, it was still a bit dark in the bungalow.
