Charming hidden gem

Pros: Charming two level cabin in a remote location, but convenient for an early morning visit to Poás Volcano. We were just 2 people but the cabin has sleeping for at least 10 people as well as a kitchen with hob, fridge freezer and wood fireplace, plus WiFi. The views are spectacular! Lots of blankets which came in handy as this was the coldest area we stayed in CR! Host was lovely and was waiting for us to guide us on where to park as waze was going to take us further down the track! Make sure you let her know your arrival time.

Cons: 4x4 definitely required as the access road is very rough. This is clearly advertised up front!

Ein echtes Abenteuer

Pros: Schon die Anfahrt über den steinigen Weg war ein Abenteuer. Die Hütte ist sehr abgelegen, die Umgebung und der Blick ins Tal sind wunderschön! Die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich und haben uns Feuer im Kamin angemacht. Die Hütte hat die Austattung einer einfachen Berghütte, es gibt aber ein gut funktionierendes WLAN und warmes Wasser zum Duschen.

Cons: Der Gasherd hat eine Platte die nicht funktioniert. Hier ist auch der Knopf schon abgebrochen, kann aber noch verstellt werden. Für diese Platte das Gas nicht aufdrehen! Denn dann strömt etwas Gas auf der Hinterseite des Herdes aus.

Rilassante

Pros: É una struttura rustica di montagna. Non di lusso, però c’è tutto quello che serve per essere immersi nella natura. Lontano del rumore della città. Lo staff è magnifico.

Cons: Nessun problema. Ripeto, é molto rustica. Molto semplice. Però pulito ed in una posizione ottima per chi vuole essere in contatto con la natura. Serve assolutamente una macchina 4x4 per arrivare.

Unforgetable!

Pros: Wonderful place. Peaceful, secluded, near poas volcan. Very rustic. Margarita & Enrique are great hosts. The trail, pond, and small waterfalls on property are a bonus.

Cons: We wish we had brought warmer clothes. Chilly at nite. Also a 4 wheel drive vehicle is needed to get into the camp.

Super leuk huisje op een mooie locatie

Pros: Vriendelijke eigenaren die helaas geen Engels spreken maar wel hun best doen om het goed te regelen. Super leuk huisje in de middle of now where. Heerlijk rustig en van alle gemakken voorzien. Er kunnen 10 mensen slapen. Er is een keuken. Prima douche (wel koud) en toilet. Gezellige buiten ruimte. Om er te komen zeker een 4x4 nodig.

Pros: Emplacement parfait pour se rendre au volcan Poas. Ambiance chalet. Propreté impeccable. La flexibilité des propriétaires. La fraîcheur des nuits et les gros duvets.
