Private jungle “Loft del Rio” river access

Pros: Amazing location feels like you’re sleeping in the trees, surrounded by wildlife. Has everything you need and the host Wouter was extremely helpful and accommodating.

Perfect . Just what we were looking for .

A little piece of paradise!

Pros: It is genuinely a little piece of private jungle! The open sides are covered with mosquito screens to keep the bugs out but you can lay in bed and watch the monkeys, iguanas and hummingbirds doing their thing in their natural environment. Heaven! The property owner is lovely and super helpful. He can get great deals on the tours you might want and will made us a reservation at the nearest restaurant on our first night (restaurant was fabulous too). It is a steep road to the loft so he even drove us and our luggage down as we weren’t initially brave enough! Beautiful lodge in an amazing location.

Amazing loft in the middle of the Jungle.

Pros: The loft is amazing overall, great location and close to the beach -5 minutes with car or 10-15 by walking. The place is located in the best spot ever, while you wake up in the morning you can see monkeys jumping close to the loft and overall the atmosphere is indeed the best. The host was very kind and we had no issue while staying there! Defo recommended!

Beautiful hat in the middle of the forest

Pros: A beautiful place in the forest, by the river, surrounded by wildlife. Wouter was friendly and helpful. His assistance was needed to place and pickup our stuff since the last 40m to the hat are very steep. There are no shades on the windows, just insect-protective nets so you really feel out in the wild

Pros: Pretty and remote cabin, the owner Wouter is really friendly and helpful. Great Italien Restaurant (Gusto) in walking distance. A beautiful beach is close but you should have a car The kitchen is very well equipped and everything is very clean. There will be insects inside, also raoches, nevertheless because it's in the jungle.

Pros: Wouter was a brilliant host, helped us around the area and made sure we were comfortable.

Pros: Tastefully designed self-contained and spacious chalet with lovely wooden terrace complete with hammock nestled inside lots of shady trees and vegetation at the bottom of a quiet valley with a small river running along the bottom of the property. Fairly open on 3 sides with welcome mosquito screens it is bright and airy and has a kitchen with basic utensils. It's in a quiet area (though be prepared for the dawn chorus of birds and animal life) so it feels like you're in the forest but with all the luxuries! No air conditioning but is well equipped with fans. It's a bit of a walk into town so would recommend a car especially for the steep hill. Very nice Italian restaurant with great views a 5 minutes walk away however. Playa Hermosa within walking distance and Costa Ricas most amazing beach Playa de la Colonia within a 10 minute drive. Only regret was not having booked a longer stay.
