The best that Costa Rica has to offer

Pros: The hotel was beautiful. The staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. They have drinkable water throughout the hotel so you can fill up your bottles and you don’t have to worry about getting upset belly.

Pros: The pool area is great. The hotel is a beautiful old style hotel and lots of great pieces.

A Delight

Pros: The hotel facilities are great. We loved the balcony view at the restaurant for breakfast. The pool and gardens are a delight. The hotel is a bit far from the city center, so a rental car is advisable.

Cons: We had to ask more than 3 times for an extra bed, bejore it was finally delivered close to 9pm. The live music was a nice touch, but the repertoire was the same over the three nights we stayed at the hotel.

Pros: The restaurant was fantastic, great steak. Brilliant first night stop over before a road trip across Costa Rica. The waitress in the restaurant was so helpful advising us on routes to Fortuna. The breakfast was very good.

Fantastic airport hotel

Pros: Hotel really beautiful but old and tired in places., particularly around the pool . Would for sure stay again, restaurant and staff all great . Room great , beds comfortable. Best airport hotel ive stayed at.

Cons: Needs a bit of tlc but i would recommend.

We had a good stay. Great hotel to stop by after landing in San Jose.

Pros: It is a good hotel. The building is beautiful. The breakfast was good and view was nice. Most of all the hotel was close to the airport.

Cons: The beds were way too small for two people.

Lovely gardens and well set up hotel

Pros: Stayed here on first night in Costa Rica after picking up hire car in nearby Belen depot. Comfy room, lovely gardens and setting. Safe neighbourhood (went for a run locally). Nice pool area too. We had drinks, dinner and breakfast (huge buffet spread) - really well set up, and great for the first night in a new country after a long day of flights to get there.

Beautiful views in a lovely property

Pros: The rooms are large and well appointed. The two double beds are really nice and we enjoyed looking at multiple types if birds from our window. Breakfast is nice and the view to the mountains is spectacular. Pool is also very nice, as well as the grounds. Loved the feeling of hacienda, with all the nice touches around

Cons: We did not receive any soap in the room, none of the cleaning ladies put it in the room during our stay. They tried to convince us that we had only paid breakfast for 2 people, and we had to pay extra for the kids, and we had to send them the booking reservation with the details in order for them to agree with us (they should have had that from when we made the booking, this took unnecessary time at check in). The restaurants are a bit pricy.
