Best of both, hotel and self catering

Pros: Liked that our appartment block came with its own pool. The appartment was big, clean and comfy. The main facilities were good, helpful to have a supermarket on site and loved the butterfly walk and macaws on site.private beach good especially with free shuttle and monkeys

Cons: room key didnt work to start with. no cot even after multipul messages (chamber made brought one in the end). internal doors locked but we were not given the keys, risky with young children around. local pool a bit tired, tiles were coming off when you walked on them

Lovely place to relax

Pros: Lovely pools, nice entertainment programme for kids, gorgeous beach. Our apartment has a good little kitchen area so we could do some self catering. Staff were lovely. We had a great time overall as our kids lov e pools

Cons: Had WiFi problems in our room. To be fair, they tried hard to fix it but the wifi in our room wasn't the best. Sofa in our apartment wasn't very comfy but luckily we were mostly at the pool! Some scheduled activities didn't run and we were there beginning of August which I thought was considered peak season

Stunning beach

Pros: The beach at Playa blancas is wonderful. Very large spread out. Lots of space. To enjoy sunrise / sunset you have to stay at hotel as access private unless low tide.

Cons: You must have watts ap to call cars to pick you up to go to breakfast. You can't get towels for the beach, except at pool, which you have to get a car to. Would be easier if you could use members towels at beach - an idea. Reception is very badly organised. Expect a long wait in wrong line and also people pushing past you, which the reception allow.

Amazing stay! Should have stayed longer..

Pros: Amazing stay! Great facilities, I should have stayed longer. The bird watching with Simon and Hillary was very special. The beach was stunning! One of the best in Costa Rica. Overall this hotel has everything for a great stay.
