Campo Azul #3 - Monteverde

Touched by nature, the elements and some lively hosts.

Pros: Peaceful and quiet location in what feels like a special place. On the edge of the mountains near wildlife and nature and the elements. The hosts are very nice people too. Willing to help and go the extra mile. Honestly lovely people.

Cons: It’s a part of the area and not the accommodation but the roads to get there are and out and about can be a bit challenging. It’s a board line between a good 2wd and a 4wd in the area. Slightly fussy of us but the bed was pretty hard.

Amazing, secluded spot with amazing views for complete peace and relaxation.

Pros: Stunning view and tranquility. Delightful host met us on site. Great location so very close to all the amazing natural phenomena.

Cons: Nothing.

Experience a little piece of paradise close to cloud forest with the best hosts in Costa Rica.

Pros: Campo Azul is a little piece of paradise! Incredible views, lots of wildlife and so tranquil. We don’t normally spend a lot of time in our accomodation while on holiday but we definitely spent a lot more time here because of how serene it was. Xinia, Gilbert and Emanuel went above and beyond to make us feel at home and were able to help us with recommendations on where and what to do in Monteverde. 10/10 recommend! Pura Vida!

Cons: If you don’t have a car then this is probably not the property for you as it is about a 5-10min drive into town

Pros: The location is perfect with a great view. The appartement is big and comfortable. The kitchen is full equipped.

Pros: The most fantastic views as far as the Gulf of Nicoya from this raised cabin. Total bonus is a platform with bananas to attract lots of birds, including Northern Toucanet. Also had White-faced capuchins on the last day.

Amazing place, weather have to be good

Pros: The location and the windows on the view is amazing. The bird feeder out the window is a bird watching paradise

Cons: The cold weather and the unstopabke rain, nothing about the place, except they have nothing to keep us warm in this extra wet and 15degree at night weather.

Just a perfect stay.

Pros: Very tidy and spacious with a nice view (you can see the ocean on a clear day). We saw tucans from the garden. Xinia welcomed us warmly and with some fresh fruit from the garden. Emanuel was a helpful host with recommendations for various activities.

Pros: Xinia is an awesome host, very friendly and nice with the kids. She offered us avocado and showed us around her garden before check-out; it was delightful!! The view from the cabin is out of this world, so calm and serene The camp is safe and cozy

Cons: The beds are not very comfortable The road to the camp is bumpy

Stunning place! The best for Monteverde!

Pros: We could not dream of a better place , staying at Monteverde. It is located in amazing place , 5 min drive from the central part of the city , in the sunny part of Monteverde. The views are stunning and you do not need even to keave your house for this. The wildlife is just around you. The owners are so sweat, kindhearted and helpful. We are very happy being able to stay here ❤️

Pros: We stayed in Campo Azul 3 for 5 nights over Christmas and we absolutely loved it! We had such a warm welcome from Emanuel's mum Xinia. She ensured we had everything we needed for our stay and showed us around their amazing garden. The kitchen was very well equipped and was brand new which was such a treat. The view goes without saying it is absolutely stunning and being higher up gave us a great view into the valley below. The bed is comfortable and the place was very clean. The shower had great pressure and was very hot which was lovely on the cold nights. Emanuel is very quick to reply and help if you have any issues at all. We will certainly miss this place and hope to go back some day.
