Affordable simple lodging

Pros: Very friendly, helpful staff. Anything you need, they will help. Location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance - food, groceries and beaches. Howler monkeys are up in the trees every am/pm! They treat you like family here and have bbq where all can come eat. They also arrange tours to Tortuga islands and it's really fun.

Cons: Just embrace the Pura Vida attitude when you get to your box car studio. It's simple and on the cheaper side , so don't expect a 3☆ hotel. Also, get used to noise. Workers are up early since it gets so hot.

Pros: the location, the staff, the room itself was all amazing! we loved having our own little kitchen and being such a short walk to the beach. everything was 10/10!

Cons: La ducha no tenía agua caliente El Wi-Fi andaba mal La administración no estaba presente y no nos respondían los mensajes

Simple, no frills affordable place to stay.

Pros: Very affordable, simple place to stay, especially for a longer length of time. Basically, you are staying in a C-train.... not a 3-star hotel. The front is a hostel full of hard-working young people who will help you with anything you need. Once a month is a bbq for everyone there. Embrace the Pura Vida attitude, and you will love the place and the vibe. They plan tours also that pick you up at Box Studios/Abaxia. Do the Zuma Turtles island!! Awesome location to beaches, groceries, and food. Also, each unit has different things- cooking stuff, table, chairs, etc. Just ask, and they try to accommodate a request

Cons: Be prepared for hearing your neighbors, power outages, and loud parties on the weekend. Join their group on Whatsapp because they will usually let you know when outages will happen. They provide water for the toilet when the power goes out, which happens in all of Santa Teresa , not just Box Studios. Bring your own washcloth, beach towel & chair. No toiletries provided.

Pros: Sumado a que la ubicación y las instalaciones son de 10, los chicos del personal muy atentos, y siempre ayudando. Han hecho nuestra estadia inolvidable.

Pros: Muy cómodo, con todo lo necesario para una buena estadía. Está ubicado muy cerquita de la playa. Los anfitriones muy amables y atentos a todos los detalles. Gracias!!

Pros: There is a monkey family living close to the place :) Very good location, they are renovating it so probably the hostel will be more fancy in the future.

Wonderful staff, great location. Would recommend if you want to be near it all.

Pros: I loved how close everything was to this property, it was right in the heart of town and Ronnie was phenomenal with assisting in everything.

Cons: The only thing that I didn’t like was that they didn’t accept credit card and I didn’t find it listed anywhere on booking site that they only take cash. Other than that it was great.

Pros: Hermosa estadía..genial la ubicación, está a pasos de una playita donde se hacían ollas y te podías meter tranquila al mar y la host Sabri super atenta a todo lo que requeríamos y nos dió muchos consejos de como pasarla bien..recomendado!
