Hotel Don Taco

Great base

Pros: Lovely base camp for exploring Monteverde. All the staff go out of their way to be helpful. The beds are comfy, the breakfast tasty and the evening meal we ate in the restaurant was first class.

Goof experience nice place

Pros: Clean and nice place …toilets could be a bit better ,more upgraded but overall we had a great experience .Very friendly staff and overall a good location …

Pros: We only stayed 1 night, but it was a great experience. Staff of the hotel were extremely tentative and helped us with any queries we had. Food is also really good, both for dinner and breakfast (that was included in price).It is super noisy when it’s windy so if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs! Our stay was overall great.

Pros: Staff were super helpful. Good location with private parking space. Bed was very comfy too. There's an amazing view from the breakfast area.

Cons: The water wasn't as hot as expected in the shower. However staff ensured they'd look into it. It would also have been nice to have some hangers in the room to dry out some of our clothes (due to rain).

Pros: The breakfast was awesome and delicious! The swing in front of the window was nice :-) and different! The staff was very nice. We were able to leave our rented car there while we went do a tour. I would recommend this Don Taco Hotel without any hesitation!

Cons: No smoking area... I had to go outside the premises to smoke (just on the street). It's o.k. but it would of been nice to have a ''sit down'' area.

Pros: Good location, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

Cons: Had to down the road to get a cup of coffee. No restaurant service after breakfast time during low tourist season.

Amazing stay & brilliant views

Pros: It was located a little away from the town so it was super quiet. We got upgraded from a standard room to a cabin with a small sitting area with amazing views. It was comfortable and despite rainy season stopping most afternoon activity we enjoyed watching the thunderstorms from here. The breakfast was amazing as were the staff who helped us to book tours, transport and any other general advice.

Pros: Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I forgot my e-reader when we checked out and had left for another town. The staff contacted me and were able to have a third party bring my e-reader to the town I was in for a small fee! Kids loved the hotel dogs :)

A Wonderful Hotel in Monteverde

Pros: The rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was great. The view from the breakfast room and balcony were beautiful and watching the sunset and stars was a great moment. The staff were really friendly. The location was perfect for activities.

Cons: There wasn't anything really. All I could muster here is the shower was lacking a bit of power but in all honesty we loved our stay and will remember our time in Santa Elena
