Couple's first trip to Costa Rica

Pros: The bed was comfortable and the location was very close to downtown. It was very quiet in the room. The breakfast was delicious. The owner's mother was able to translate for us as we don't speak Spanish. They are lovely people.

Cons: It is a very difficult to park and the road going up to their place, like many roads in the area are rough with lots of.potholes. Fortunately we rented a 4x4. If your vehicle doesn't have a lot of clearance you might have issues.

Pros: Very hospitable hosts. Great breakfast cooked by the hosts. They had excellent coffee from their own coffee farm! We felt like at home for the 3-night stay.

The real Costa Rica family experience

Pros: A very homy and cozy environment. The family that runs this place is extremely welcoming, thoughtful and helpful. They helped me book some tours, arrange travel accommodations etc. The best part was waking up to a big healthy and tasty breakfast every morning. Would definitely bring my family here

Pros: Very friendly owners in a fantastic location. Breakfast is cooked on demand and filling; I was there three nights and had three different breakfasts that were all delicious. Easy location close to the centre of town.

Cons: Bathroom has that ‘bathroom smell’ but is clean.

Fantastic.

Pros: Maria and Jacquin could not be more helpful. They booked all our tours and transport for us. Breakfast was amazing. The coffee served at breakfast is harvested a local farm is the best I've ever had.

Staying with a loving family!

Pros: The owners of Monte Los Lirios Lodge, was great. They are my new family in Costa Rica. Breakfast every morning, fresh fruit, fresh coffee served with a big smile. They also help you arrange transport to and from places. Early evening we will be sitting in the kitchen enjoying tea or coffee with some home made bread or a dessert with the owner and their children. One big happy family.I now have a new mom and dad in Costa Rica.

Cons: Everything was great

Great staff, location, and breakfast.

Pros: My friend and I had a great stay here. The owners are fantastic and are incredibly kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and very filling. They asked what types of activities we wanted to do and would set up shuttles that would pick us up from the lodge. They also organized a night tour for us, which was really fun. I loved the location, just a 10 minute walk outside the center, so it was peaceful. Heading the other way, it's a five minute walk to a great restaurant, produce market, large convenience store, and bakery. We didn't have a car and it was never a problem. I enjoyed Monteverde and my stay so much that I booked extra nights there and will be back in a few weeks as well. I highly recommend this place if you're visiting Monteverde.
