A pleasure to stay and a joy to get information for places to visit

Pros: We stayed two nights in the cornerroom on the ground floor at the backside of the B&B-house. We appreciated very much there was a possibility to have a twin room in this bed and breakfast as most B&B’s lack that option. Nicely decorated room with modern bathroom with good shower. The location is very good, close to the village but not the disadvantage of much traffic and trafficnoise, a good sleeping quality. As more reviews mention, we also appreciated very much the helpfulness of Sergio. Not only in the B&B, but he also helped us with the choice of places to visit He proved there indeed was no need to make arrangements for visits in Monteverde at home. A place highly recommended.

Great place to stay and Sergio was extremely helpful.

Pros: The accommodation car park is very close-by. We were very warmly greeted by our host, Sergio, who helped us take our luggage to our rooms. The en-suite rooms were well maintained, very clean and comfortable. He explained about breakfast arrangements, etc. Throughout our stay, Sergio provided numerous recommendations of what we might like to visit, where to eat and also helping us with bookings. It is difficult to imagine a better host. The breakfasts were excellent and he definitely added tremendous value to our visit. A big thank you to Sergio.

Lovely family stay

Pros: Convenient location, comfortable stay, healthy breakfast with plenty of fresh fruits. Sergio helped to book all the tours. He is always available to clear all your doubts, even helping us to order food online when we were too tired to go out in the evening.

Very comfortable staying!

Pros: Very clean and quiet room. There is private parking where you can leave your car securely. Both hosts are very kind and caring. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable. The shared bathroom is very clean and has hot water. I didn’t have breakfast, but I saw it and it looked very good—a continental breakfast with a variety of fruits.

Cons: No major dislikes. The bathroom is shared, but it is very well maintained.

Superb property, host and breakfast.

Pros: The owner Sergio was incredibly helpful and friendly — excellent service with good knowledge of local things to do and recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Best breakfast we had in Costa Rica with lots of food options. Lovely property

Cons: Our first night we were unlucky with the weather as an unseasonal cold spell so we were cold and damp from rain. However extra blankets once we went to bed made the difference.

Thoroughly recommend!

Pros: Our room had a great new bathroom and a jungle view from the bedroom. Sergio and his partner were really friendly and so helpful helping us sort out an activity for our stay and recommendations. Fabulous breakfast too! Parking on site was a bonus.

Cons: Nothing not to like! Would have loved tea or coffee facilities in the room!

Friendly, clean and spacious

Pros: The hospitality of Sergio and Katia was the best service I’ve seen in Costa Rica. They’re such kind and lovely people. The breakfast was always great, the room cleanliness and the size of the room was really good too. Location is just a short walk to the nearest town and very close to drive to nearby activities. Sergio helped us book activities and gave us lots of knowledge of the area. He answered all our questions whenever we had any. If you’re looking for a place to stay In Monteverde don’t skip this place!

Cons: Nothing! It was windy at night time but that is just the area but you get used to it ☺️

Great basis to discover the beauties of Monteverde

Pros: Great location, extraordinary host, nice and clean rooms

Cons: A minor thing: we had some moths in the bathroom. Might be better to install a fly screen for the window.

Pros: I had a great stay at Sergio's house. It is very well situated, at walking distance from the center of Santa Elena in a quiet area. The room was very modern, very comfortable and spotless. I had the nice surprise of getting upgraded to the biggest room when I arrived. Sergio was an amazing host, very friendly, gives a lot of advice and can book tours for you (and speaks a perfect French ;-) ). I can only recommend !
