Pros: Decorated with love and artistic taste. Close to montevrde, but a bit on un paved road. Host very friendly. Spacious

Cons: Matress too soft. No space for clothes.

Absolutely amazing!

Pros: Everything was fantastic! The hosts are absolutely amazing!!! Very kind, helpful, open. We loved every second of our stay. We will come back for sure at our next visit of Costa Rica. There is a bakery few minutes from the house and also the major “things to do” are close by (driving distance) If you’re lucky enough you might even meet 2 extra special hosts… but you must be very lucky to do so 😎

A great base from which to explore the many local attractions

Pros: Carlos was a fantastic host, meeting us on arrival and talking us through the facilities. There was great communication with Carlos prior to and throughout the visit. Carlos also provided some excellent tips on local resturants and sodas. The wifi was great. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils. For breakfast the bakery is a short walk away and stocked with bread pastaries and eggs. A good location for a family of 4.

Cons: The location means that you benefit most by having a car as the house is slightly outside the centre of town. We found it a little challenging to locate on arrival, not helped by Waves not taking us to the right location at the start. Carlos of very responsive to messages and redirected us.

Pros: Carlos was an amazing host who went out of his way to make us feel welcome and helped with our travel questions about Costa Rica in general as well as transport to the cloud forest near by. His house is absolutely lovely. So comfortable and with everything we could have needed and lovely surprise extras of delicious coffee and eggs! It's a beautiful, peaceful location and we had such a lovely relaxing stay.

Cosy house

Pros: The house is in a great location, close to the town but far enough away to feel like you’re in peace. Felt very homely and we loved looking at all the artwork around the house. There is a bakery just a couple minutes walk up the road. Eggs and coffee were supplied. We met Isabela, Carlos’ wife, who was lovely to talk to and is the artist behind the house decorations. She also made my sister a beautiful birthday fruit platter. There is a cute dog who will sit with you in the garden too

Cons: The plastic mattress protectors were a bit uncomfortable

Pros: A very neat, clean, safe and peaceful place to stay which has super friendly and caring hosts.

good stay

Pros: - nice apartment in a quiet location - Carlos was a great and helpful host - There is even a washing machine and tumble dryer available (use for an additional charge) - Parking space is available - TV with Netflix available

Cons: - Couch in the living room could be replaced - quite uncomfortable - Location is a bit out of the way, you need a car to get to Santa Elena etc

Pros: The hosts are exceptionally welcoming and helpful. We even have got a couple of eggs for breakfast, but also lots of local information and advice. If we come back to Costa Rica, we will for sure try to get back to visit Carlos again

Comfortable stay, free parking.

Pros: We had a great stay here, it was comfortable, with free parking so it was great for us with our rental car. The location is just outside of Santa Elena and you just drive maybe 100 metres to the main road which is a great plus as in Monteverde there are many diet roads once you get out of the centre. The owners, Carlos and Isabel are super nice and friendly, we really enjoyed chatting with them. Good shower too here.
