Charming little B&B just a short walk from town

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, cute and comfortable room, lovely breakfast. Dinner at the restaurant was very good local food. Only a short walk into town

Cons: Would be helpful to have somewhere to dry clothes - the jungle is very humid

Great little hotel near the center of Santa Elena

Pros: This is a cute hotel ran by friendly people. The room is good sized and has a table and also a foldable luggage rack (you'd be surprised how many more expensive hotels in Costa Rica have zero space for putting your suitcases!) as well as two bedside tables with lamps (another absolute necessity for me, that most hotels forget to put in their rooms!). Bathroom is clean and modern, with hot water and there was parking at the hotel (or in the street just outside). Finally the breakfast is at the sister restaurant next door and includes a few options. It's 10 min walk from the center of Santa Elena, but keep in mind there's a lot of uphills involved (especially if you venture towards the little mall, Centro Comercial Monteverde, where there are supermarkets and some good restaurants - don't miss the \

Pros: Accomodation was in the centre of Santa Elena! The host was super friendly and helpful in booking tours. He even went the extra mile, I forgot my airpods in the hotel room and he sent them to my next destination.

Pros: The location is quite good an you can easilty walk to the town center. And it was relatively quiet. Breakfast was also good, perhaps the portion size especially of the fruits could have been a little larger.

Cons: Perhaps due to the location in the rain forrest area with much precipitation in particular in the bathroom it smelled a bit musty. Parking on the property is somewhat limited, or only possible on the street.

Cons: A little hard to find when you arrive. Not everyone knows about it from the description.

Pros: The room was very clean. Emmanuel gave us a lot of information and booked a zip line and transport for us.

Great stay

Pros: Really lovely cozy room, staff and owner was so friendly Nice little restaurant on the side It’s in a great location (walking distance to a number of evening places to go to)

Helpful family run B & B with on site restaurant. Easy walking to stores.

Pros: Friendly, family run accommodation, very helpful and welcoming. Full breakfast with juice, fruit, coffee/tea and choice of eggs & toast or eggs & rice/ beans. Walking distance to restaurants and stores. Smaller room but had lots of amenities. Family restaurant on site served delicious food.

Cons: Very windy January (apparently all the time). Some noisy traffic and dogs barking but it settles down.

A good place to spend a night or two

Pros: Room very comfortable. We had a car so location was fine. Although not facilities in the room, there was all you needed just outside our door. The restaurant joined on was good, breakfast too was good. The owner was friendly and helped to organise a tour to one of the cloud forests. (we misunderstood what he was saying and should have made sure we were clear)

Cons: Wasn't really impressed with the recommended tours. Was probably our worst night tour. We had the same guide the next day. He was not a bad guide and as a small group we learnt a lot. This was probably our fault because we expected a night tour like that of our others we had both in Costa Rica and in other countries.

Pros: Spacious room, the beds were very comfy. Too bad we only stayed here for one night. We would have loved to stay here longer. Nice little town with a great vibe. Everything is walking distance. The staff here were very friendly. Next door is a restaurant (same family as the Casa) where we had a nice breakfast in the morning.

Cons: There is nothing we didn't like about this place.
